Albums started out truly great, and gotten progessively worse. The last "Perservere," frankly blows. Give these guys two acoustic guitars, some accompaniment on rythm, and they are great. The production (aka Nashville) attempts beyond this have ruined them. Check out the first album for their best work.

I too thought I would never hear a better album than This is The Story. But I have matured alongside them, and once I gave the subsequent offerings a real go, I found I became increasingly into the music - I love them accoustically, but the new songs are getting better all the time - the actual lyrics are so moving, funny, clever - I just 'get it'.

Agree with Cazza - I thought it couldn't get better than This is the Story but it did. I only wish there had been more albums to listen to. IMHO they are the best live band ever.

I´m Spanish. I live in the south of Spain. The culture where I have been brought up is different from yours, but things join us. One of them is music. If you feel something special when you listen to a song, it doesn´t matter whether you are black or white, Asian or European. I feel that special thing with some of The Proclaimers´ songs. I really thank them for the moments they give me with such songs as "Letter from America", "The light", "There´s a touch", etc.
