I grew up listening to The Police and grew up to be a musician. Now, if they would put their differences aside and jam one more time for good ole sakes :-)

I am 35 years old, I am an 80's child, the Police represent an awsome part of my life, I can only hope and wish that they would someday do it one more time. Even if it wasnt permanent, just to see them play live would just, well to put in plain terms,,,,,Fu$%ing kick ass!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 18 years old and only really got into sting's music a few months ago. My Ex-boyfriend played in a Police tribute band. Now i cant get enough of Sting! Don't stand so close to me is one of my favourite songs and of course, Every breath u take. It makes me so sad the police will never tour again, they should really do a reunion tour. I just really wanted to discuss his music and facts &stuff about the band so hopefully u guys will write back and keep up the discussion!
PS: I'm listenin to Roxanne right now. Class.

Well it's nothing new..., The Police kick ass! Even to this day their stuff still blows Sting's solo efforts off the charts. I know I am not alone in thinking that, because being a drummer and having Stewart Copeland as my inspiration for playing drums for the past 27 years, makes me proud! Sting lost me as a fan way back just after Sting for the Nothing Like the Sun tour. Don't get me wrong, I think he is an incredible song writer and all that, but it doesn't even come close to what The Police captured back in the day. It was amazing to finally see them play live again (I saw them live back in 1982), for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March of this year. It only took a mere 18 years and this induction to get Sting back on track, and of course, once again, we the public as fans are left craving more... Maybe another event will trigger another, shall we say, longer reunion... Ahhh, dare to dream. Well at least I saw them in their heyday, and I am happy to have met all 3 members of The Police, especially Stewart 4 times in the past 12 years! Giddeeup! Until the next time..."Giant steps are what you take..."

Here's the kicker: I grew up in South Western Ontario and every summer in the early 80's (80, 81, 82) The Police would put on a show called the 'Police Picnics.' Well ,being the bright young lad that I wasn't, I always figured that these picnics were for the men and women of our local police forces. It wasn't until later on in life when I saw some footage of these shows that I realized that my favorite band had been in my backyard several times and I'd never been the wiser. Makes me want to cry sometimes....But I'm over it now. Really.
