The Pillows are wonderful. They are my favorite band. I was able to find a few of their CDs and their DVD for sale at YesAsia.com if that is to help anyone.

I have to say that they're like a present classic-the best of now. All the songs have some awesome melody that's just great to hear.

The pillows are just phenominal. There kinda like a japanese Foo Fighters, but with Led Zeppelins diversity and creativity. Really great stuff
If you like The Pillows, check out Bump of Chicken, another japanese band with a dirtier(not in a bad way) sound than The Pillows.

The pillows are godlike. There is such a small following in the states, so of course they wont play here. Their best song, is,....all of them? Little Busters and PATRICIA are like jesus. I would sell my soul to go to one of their shows, but alas, i dont have enough soul to sell.

>>By Tsubasa Shibahime   (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 07:31)

I am more obsessed with the Pillows than I am about any other band. Ever. And that's saying a lot. I've acquired over 80 songs and I totally adore them all. And I agree with Tsubasa Shibahime... They DESPERATELY need a domestic release!!!!!!

I have to say that I like most music from other contries, but the Pillows take the cake. They take the whole damn bakery for that matter. Now if only I could get all their CDs in the US... goddamn American ignorance!!

I just recently heard of them through FLCL ( one of the best anime's if you ask me, sorta like jet set radio...same sorta atmosphere). They seem to touch a chord that alot of bands don't these days. They sort of sound like a japanese weezer, but thats just my opinion, overall an epic sound.

Hmm, Their laid back, playful, and creative...I fucking love it!!!!
Oddly enough I first heard them from FLCL, so I had to buy into it, so now I'm $40 poorer...but I'm 30 songs richer!

The Pillows are a very talented group, with great tunes. I enjoy to listen to music from other countries and even music from the U.S with foreign inspired feel. I have heard of The Pillows before FLCL made its US debut through a friend and instantly wanted to hear more. They reminded me of a Japanese Weezer. I kind of wonder of they have any pull from the band considering Weezer's popularity over in Japan. America is slowly becoming more open to outside styles of music, which I am really enjoying. As the anime boom in the states continues to grow, so will the flow foreign music ring through our ears. I hope more people become more open minded to the new sounds, and not turned off because they dont understand the singing. After all, music is about the feel and flow, not if the words rhyme.
