a lot of their stuff is on kazaa. i suggest One With The Freaks off Neon Golden or Chemicals off Shrink. Discovered this band around 98 and have been addicted ever since.

They are great yes, saw them in 98 with Mina and songs ohia, and it was a great show.. especially since they played my fav. song of them.. Chemicals.. but they have so many more great songs.. certainly a very good German band.. have to admit, I am abit jealous of the germans with all those nice bands..

i have only one album which is Shrink...and that is a must. a friend turned me on and honestly i listen to it constantly.

You should get Neon Golden as well.. it is a great album, maybe even better then shrink...

I think their website is www.notwist.com. I checked out after I visited the friend the other day, and you can find some usefull stuff their. And if you want to you can even contact the band.

And if I am not wrong they are currently touring the USA. At least there was something about toronto on their site.

i read about this band awhile back in a recording magazine and checked them out--i was definitely impressed. "neon golden" is an awesome album--i love bands who push the limits...

I understand their earlier stuff is nothing like what they've been doing recently. They were a metal band or something? Anyway, do they have any other albums that are like SHRINK and NEON GOLDEN? I downloaded both a few years ago, and love them (and have since purchased NEON GOLDEN).

Not really impressed by the DIFFERENT CARS AND TRAINS single/EP.

i own shrink, neon golden (us version w/extra tracks) and different cars and trains.

oh and a split cd with lambchop that has a couple of cool songs, i forget the name of it.

the notwist are just so amazing, definitely check them out. i want to buy their older stuff (that has hardcore breakdowns ! haha)
