All of the three albums from the blue nile are absolutely superb. Between Paul's soulful voice and the music there is no other greater band.

I thing "Family Life" is the most compelling song I have heard. Reminds me of the poetry of Billy Collins.
I love these boys. I am American but some Brits took me to a concert when we worked together. Been
a fan since.

Quite simply - some of the most beautiful, soul searching, wistful and yearning for lost love music ever written. I'm talking about Hats - Rooftops was a good start with Tinseltown still one of my alltime favourites and Peace at Last was much more upbeat and melodic but Hats still does it for me. Sinks to me the depths with Let's go out Tonight, and makes me soar with Headlights on the parade. How you can you smile and cry all in the space of an album - as one fellow admirer says above - more than words can say.....

The Blue Nile are the best band that I have ever seen live. They have created 2 of the best
albums of all time in `A walk across the rooftops` and `Hats`, yet they seem to have fallen off
the edge of the planet. Does anyone know what has happened to them? I recently heard a song on the current Mel C album titled `Soul Boy` which appears to have been written and
produced with them and it makes her sound fantastic. Does anyone out there have any info
on the wherabouts of Paul Buchanan or the possibility of any new material. The trail seems to have gone really cold since even their unofficial website hasn`t been updated since last year.
