Discussion: Sting

Well, not a lot to say... apart from the fact that he's got a boundless ego and nowadays his music is turning into a quiet teatime sonic background. I loved of course his work with the Police, but it is clear how much Copeland and Summers added to his tunes in terms of peculiarity.

sting's music is somewhat captivating, expressive and smooth. He has a distinct and unique sound to his music which i enjoy listening to, particularly his current work and his work with the police. I look forward to hearing new music from him in the future.

Sting is someone that, if you look deep inside you, is impossible not to find him there, and I'm talking about his music of course. I just can't stop listening to him with a very big pleasure.

My favorite song by sting is"fields of gold". It really sets my mind free, and it takes me back to my childhood; running and playing in the fields.

Did anyone see this man at the Oscars doing the LOTR theme with Annie Lennox? He had an old-style instrument called a hurdy -gurdey but I reckon he was just decoration, I could only hear the standard backing mix of the recorded song. Has he no dignity left? Am I deaf? Any thoughts anyone?

btw the best version of Fields of Gold is by Eva Cassidy.
