Hello fellow Stan fans ! Love'd Stan for years. Live in California but take alot of trips to Arizona. Best music to listen to thru the desert ! Lucky enough to have seen him a few times as he does not play live that much, but at least he always plays in small venues. Per the internet he will be in California in June. Will diffently be there !

I went out a few times with Stan, when I was in high school...before he was Stan Ridgeway...before Wall of Voodoo :-) Even then, he would talk for hours and hours on end about the kind of music he would one day compose. I think he's quite a musical genius...and I will always remember him for his sinister grin, anf for a New Years Eve, I will never forget. :-) Rock on, Stan.

Is there any truth in the rumour that Stan's hit 'Camouflage' was autobiographical and that he was in fact the awfully big marine that he sang about. Furthermore that Stan died in the Jungle Wars of '65 and yet has made numerous live performances since this time?

Did bob the brill get a reply to his query of 5May 2003. Namely "when was Camouflage a hit in the U.K". ?

does anybody know some ridgeway lyrics? i'll bet you do! a friend with impeccable musical tastes once gave me a mix tape with two particularly cool songs on it. in the cobwebby circuits of my depleted brain i recall that the band "wall of voodoo" was associated with the two songs which i loved and overplayed until the tape broke. recently i have been inspired to find out who the hell did the songs and what cd i might purchase which would contain them. here goes: the lyrical hooks i remember " i can count all my friends on the fingers of one hand....need a calculator to count up all my problems...doctor i've been feeling that kennedy feeling of losing control....and etc. etc . etc." the other one went "....built my life around you center of my (soul?)...it's such a (cruel?) game....lord knows i have only you, i put you on a pedastal...." obviously that's not much to go on, but if this fellow ridgeway did these songs then it's sure to strike a chord with somebody ( i hope! ). if you know please e-mail me at: iamjahlove@yahool.com thanks a lot and peace o-u-t
