| Discussion: Spoon Spoon is the most underrated band out there. They have been making albums since 96, and no one I talk to knows who the hell they are. It is cool in a way, to be in on something no one else is. But the thing is, everyone else would be so much cooler if they WERE in on it. MY MATH TEACHER USED TO BE IN A BAND CALLED "SPOONS"!! but it was a long long time ago... lol. what a coincidence... : P >>By forgetmenot wicked band...moonlight and girls can tell are definitely two of the best albums i've ever had the pleasure of listening to... i was introduced to spoon a couple of years ago when they opened for Cake (another great band that i always compare spoon to whenever i'm introducing them to a friend...although in reality they don't sound a great deal alike...but its an easy comparison) at Massey Hall in Toronto (my hometown)...they really played a great set and the next day i bought both of the aforementioned albums....cake was ok..but i remember leaving that night with my friend raving about 'that band that opened'...and i haven't stopped since.. >>By guitar_solo Hello, I like this band a lot, first time I got to know about them was the soundtrack to the film 'Stranger than fiction' then I got the album 'Gimme fiction' with songs like 'Mathematical Mind' and 'Beast and dragon, adored' it seems in July there will be a new album so that is something to look forward to, I heard the song 'Rhythm and soul' that is a very fine one, anyway have a nice day! >>By Heartland Have they taken their name from an album track by the immortal Can? >>By nonyeb I've only heard one song by Spoon, which I got on a sampler from Paste magazine.
