>>By smoothgirl2002   (Wednesday, 11 Jun 2003 13:14)

>>By me   (Tuesday, 15 Jul 2003 22:49)

Soundgarden is ten times cooler then Audioslave.

>>By sniperfox2000   (Friday, 18 Jul 2003 18:43)

If I had to choose one band to listen to for the rest of my life, it would defenitely have to be.......Soundgarden,

>>By Foodindacar   (Thursday, 24 Jul 2003 06:15)

I don't know much about soundgarden but from what i know i can tell their music really rocks! but any band that has chris cornell has to be amazing like AUDIOSLAVE!

>>By NeBuLa   (Wednesday, 30 Jul 2003 21:21)

Superunknown is one of the best album's ever. Black Whole sun is THE best song ever, Chris Cornell definitely deserves respect.

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Sunday, 21 Sep 2003 13:42)

I am sorry to say this, but I think that superunknown is their worst album./..... I prefer the records screaming life or Badmotorfinger, which both sound more sincere then Superunknown...

To bad that Chris Cornell is now just doing the same as he did wioth Soundgarden over with Audioslave.. Just as if you can sing th lyrics od Soundgarden along with the songs of Audioslave.... Or as I prefer to call them Sound Machine, or Rage Garden.... If any other band would have made the album Audio... did they would have been accused of Blind inspirationless copying... But why change your name when you keep on doing the same?

NeBuLa: Not knowing Soundgarden whilst listening to Audioslave to me is considered a headsin.. Better quickly get yourself some Soundgarden and learn.. and while you are at it, Mother Love Bone, MudHoney, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains.. all not to be missed in your collection....

>>By Campking   (Sunday, 21 Sep 2003 18:16)

aWWWWWWW times have changed,,,,,,,na,,,,,Fuck that.......rock is still ALIVE,,,,,,,,,,and out of RATM,GARDEN or SLAVE,,,,,,,c'mon SOUNDGARDEN is the best by far..............Slave is good, but no GARDEN,,,,,,,,it feels good to have Cornell back on the fuckin radio, maybe just ,maybe we can bring this back to where its supposed to be..........TOMMOROW begat,TOMMOROW-----------it was the 4th of JULY..................................

>>By grunge   (Friday, 31 Oct 2003 01:12)

i always salute soundgarden, ratm for being mutineers and revolting against the system............ wish all that they wrote could be published in a book of poems .............

>>By prox   (Friday, 5 Mar 2004 11:25)

There's a severe lack of people in here saying that Audioslave are - let's face it - fucking dissapointing. Rage remnants are just doing what they did on Battle of LA (also dissapointing) and Chris Cornell's melodies are about.....oooohhh......a fiftieth of the quality of Soundgarden?

Soundgarden FUCKING ruled, they prioritize natural creativity in there songs more than I've ever heard in all of music EVER (except maybe Gomez).

Rage ALSO fucking ruled - only thing is, they had two ways of writing - sometimes they were UBER creative - other times they just ripped themselves off and it sounded a bit mechanical. Rage by numbers (Battle of LA).

I think we all hoped Audioslave would be the best of both, but let's face it, it just wasn't.

On another note, if Music was a big pie and all possible styles were in this pie, how many Sean Paul's could you fit in Soundgarden's slice?

Now THAT's a tasty slice! :)

I think Soundgarden was 1 of the best band to come out of Seatle in the late 80's and early 90's. From albums Ultramega OK threw Down On The Upside (my all time fave Louder Than Love), they all had this edge that drew me back to listen time and time again. From song like "Hands All Over", "Jesus Christ Pose", and "Blow Up TheOutside World" the band just kept out doing themselves. They say to stop when your on top, I think Soundgarden was 1/2 way there when they began and wish they were still climbing today.

Just wonderin.....what exactly does "FOPP" stand for? Does anyone know when the next Audioslave CD is coming out? I need my Cornell fix......

>>By dmaria   (Wednesday, 1 Dec 2004 04:46)

you all ned to get a life

>>By stonemade   (Thursday, 9 Dec 2004 16:29)

no shit man. they were good, but they ruined themselves with a lot of crap those last couple of albums. what's dead is dead. and it won't come back. just look what happen to J mascis from Dinosaur Jr.... samething. who care's about him now.?

>>By jimakane   (Thursday, 9 Dec 2004 23:22)

Badmotorfinger was the album, for me it pissed on Nevermind and was the seatle album par excelance. I agree somewhat with what has been said about their later work, but black hole sun rocked.

>>By monkeyfeet   (Tuesday, 14 Dec 2004 14:51)

soundgarden were deinatly heros of grunge! chris is a genius and for campking you'l be happy to hear the new album is to have little or no trace of soundgarden or rage and a name you might like is slaveragegarden

>>By keels   (Thursday, 23 Dec 2004 18:20)

I totally disagree about the later Soundgarden stuff. Superunknown is one of my all time favourite albums. Black Hole Sun, Spoon Man, The Day I Tried to Live, Fell on Black Days.... so many.

>>By Flagg   (Thursday, 23 Dec 2004 19:29)

spoonman!!!!.... that is by far the worst song ever written,... and the video,... may i vomit for the next 4 hours... not only is that SG's worst song,.. it tops the list of worst songs ever written in any group. i didn't listen to them for years after that song came out. i finally felt the redeemed themselves when "burden in my hand" was released, but you still won't catch me buying another one of their albums.

>>By jimakane   (Thursday, 23 Dec 2004 19:46)

Go easy on spoonman, I mean the worst song ever written? you seem to forget the collected works of radiohead...

>>By monkeyfeet   (Friday, 24 Dec 2004 15:50)

Well, containing my rage and hatred towards monkeyfeet, whom I will never understand if I live for six million years (Radiohead are undisputably the greatest band ever formed), Spoonman, I agree, is by no means the worst song ever written.

If I could write one song with Chris Cornell-standard lyrics, I could die happy. He's one of the best writers ever.

>>By Flagg   (Sunday, 26 Dec 2004 14:47)

Oh monkeyfeets just pissed because Jonny bullied him at school ;)

>>By Tchock   (Sunday, 26 Dec 2004 14:48)

chris cornell is a good song writer, i know. but name a song worse than spoonman.? and not one from their early early albums,... they don't count

>>By jimakane   (Monday, 27 Dec 2004 19:35)

A Soundgarden song worse than Spoonman? Limo Wreck.

Any song worse than Spoonman? There are billions.
