Slade

Would like to see many of Slades B sides put out on a CD collection.
So many great songs which don't see the light of day.
'Wonderin' Y', Gospel According To Rasputin' to name but two. All going to waste!.
Many bands put extra tracks on CD's, why not Slade?.
Come on you record companies. Do us Slade fans a favour and get the old but brilliant music by Slade out. Remember '9 To 5'. What a great song.
Also, why hasn't Slade In Flame been released on DVD?. Surely it must be time!.
Oh, it would be great to have the 12" version of Merry Xmas Everybody on CD too. I've got a vinal copy but it's wearing out fast.
Let's get thing's moving and rocking!!.

Can't someone persuade Noddy to do a solo album. His solo version of Cum on feel the noize was simply the best.

Check Ebay for Slade. Sometimes you'll stumble upon a CD with B Sides

Flame DVD
Have you bought it yet? If not I'd advise that you dont. What a real disappointment and a sorely missed opportunity.

The film itself is as good as ever but the quality is awful. With this being a DVD release I was expecting a widescreen version - at the very least a fullscreen version taken from the original print. What we have here on the DVD appears to be a very bad recording converted from a TV home video tape. It appears to be a cropped widescreen made to fit on a regualar 4:3 television - but whoever decided which bits to cut off at the sides of the picture has made a very bad choice. There were parts of the film that were totally unwatchable. A particular scene comes to mind where Johnny Shannon has his first meeting with Tom Conti. All you can see on the screen is a shot of the desk at which the two actors are sitting - but you cant see either of them! You can hear their voices, but not see the actors! There were many scenes like this and it is a very big disappointment for me. In fact I am now going to have to watch my original 3M VHS tape (which incidentally has a much better picture) to satisfy myself.

Whilst the Noddy interview on the DVD was excellent, it didnt make up for this disappointment. In addition during the interview we were treated to snippets from the film. And guess what, they were in full widescreen and of excellent quality. Why?

I want to complain to Union Square Pictures about this but cant seem to find any information on the internet. I would suggest that ALL Slade fans do the same. If you are happy with what you have on this DVD then I'm sorry but you shouldnt be.

I also think the Flame dvd was a disapointment, as far as quality goes.
But it's better than nothing as I am in Australia and was unable to get the video version or the wall of hits video. They were never available here that I know of. So I am happy with what I can get
