I saw them in detroit yesterday, and was the BEST!!! show that I've ever seen. So what do I think of Sigur Ros.Well, they KICK ASS!!!

>>By Ronnie   (Saturday, 9 Nov 2002 18:11)

I seen them in detroit friday night ! they were so beautiful, when i listen to it i cry sometimes because i have depression, but afterwards it helps, and track 3 off there new album they played was beautiful. the way the disco ball shed white balls of light on the whole room just was amazing, sigur ros is far superior to any band.

oh did u know that jonsi the singer/bowtar player is gay, and is blind in 1 eye
:(

saw them last night in chicago, and it was..well.. can't put it in words.
the music shut down my body and I was in some sort of waking/dream state, hearing the sounds but my mind was somewhere else..floating down a river somewhere, very sureal, detached.....beautiful!!

I saw them last night at the Pageant in St. Louis and they did kick ass of course. Jonsi is so shy and he looks like he's about to cry when he sings. I wish they would play new batteries though cuz it is the song that has the music video my friend loves.

Anyways, some ho tried to get in their bus so they made everyone leave that was waiting for them to get on the bus; that almost ruined the whole night!

I love the icelandic sound of sigur ros

>>By sigur girl   (Friday, 6 Dec 2002 00:42)

wow. sigur-ros makes me cry, not bad crying but the kind that makes you want to keep crying forever because it feels so perfect. there are no words to describe what they do to me. and the new album kicks ass! ( ) is the perfect name for a sigur ros album because it shows how there are no words that would make a title sufficient to describe the content of their music. the list of who i love, in order of importance: 1 - God&Jesus; 2-Sigur-Ros. that pretty much explains it :'-)

I don't know them for so long, but as someone else said, they help in the hard days. They are pretty soul- touching.
I believe there are less bands these days who know what real beautiful music is....

i just was on the phone with my girlfriend, explaining to her the things that depress me and how bad things were and shit....and then she started naming the things that she loves about me and the things i have going for me....and right at that time, Njosnavelin, track #4 on the new album came on from my playlist on winamp....and i think that song might be their most beautiful....and listening to her and the song at the same time....i cried....i cried as the feeling of "everything is going to be OK" swept over me. i love sigur ros....might be my favorite band....i have spent alot of free time on the net looking for every song they have so i could download it....i now have 45 of their songs....and they all are so badass.....i know this is long but i have to go on......i woke up to their song "Hafsol" the other morning and i was half asleep, half awake, so i didnt have full consciousness yet, and i swear to god, my brain turned into a puddle of water with vibrant, brightly colored swirls going around in it......i literally thought this was happening....and i layed in bed and was at the most peace i have been in in a long time....(maybe cuz i got blazed the night before, i duno) - to wrap it up, sigur ros does alot for me, and all their stuff is beautiful, the band itself is an interesting group of guys.....and i highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new, original sound that can relate to every emotion in your body, and paint pictures of landscapes in your mind as you listen.............alright peace out y'all.......one love, all hail music.....jake

best show I had ever seen. I didn't want it to end. They take you to a place that is far beautiful than the mainstream music can comprehend. Their music is for people who know.

I discovered Sigur Ros very recently and Whaaaaaaa! I was astonished
I'm a Black Metal Fan so I don't have anything to do with music under 250 BPM's or that's what I believed until I was lend ( ). I will soon buy "Agaetis Byrjun" because I was told that it was even better than ( ) ! I hope it's true but I have doubts on the fact that something can be better than track 8...
Hail Sigur Ros!!!

Im actually a Drum'n'Bass/HardHouse and punk/alternative fan and only recently discovered Sigur Ros quite commercially thru the Vanilla Sky soundtrack. And hey......what can I say?...........Its changed my life.It is the purest most beautiful music Ive ever heard. I cant get enough of track 3 on their latest album. Its sooooo different to the music I usually listen to and I love it. Whilst listening to them everything takes a different perspective&the melodies jus take you away. Had a moment of clarity the other night. Was sat on my back door-step havin a joint listening to the newest album. The stars were really clear and it was so queit outside-a moment of pure bliss.....Thanku SR-u guys ROCK!

They are...amazing. They are...inspiring. They are...inexplicable. Words? Words can't describe music like this. You can only understand the music by experiencing it.
I haven't listened to every Sigur Ros song, as of yet, but so far my favorite is definitely Staralfur from the album agaetis byrjun.
If you haven't experienced any of their music yet, I recommend going to www.sigur-rus.co.uk where there are a handful of free downloads.

i love them their music is enlightening
they seem like they try to hard to be art heads with the way you can right in the words on the new album and the made up language and stuff. they also said godspeed was pretentious and that is stupid.
other than that they are one of the best bands out there
godspeed rules- aaron

as a great fan of tool and some pink floyd's i couldn't wait to discover THE new soul-toucing band in today's international music scene, there is nothing to say really on sigur ros apart that it is just beautiful , simply beautiful and pain-releasing.

Two years ago, a souvenieur from my ma's trip to Iceland was A'gaetis byrjum. Transcendent sound and resonating vocals unlike anything I've heard before. Their music is simply beautiful...inspiring ...peaceful...sad. And now after hearing (), I am convinced that this band is the most important musical talent to arise in years (sorry Maynard and Thom, etc.). Doin my damndest to get to Radio City in NYC....anyone got tickets?
