It had the feel of a "typical" country song and little else. There wasn't a whole lot of re-invention going on there. "C'mon, C'mon" is a pretty strong album. "Soak Up the Sun" was pretty clearly designed for airplay but I like it nonetheless, especially the way you go from a sigle voice and relatively simple arrangement in the verse, to some fabulous harmonies and more complex music in the chorus. And as far as her age...who cares. That overbite is to die for. >>By ccradio I am very like her rancity voice and her sytle with guiter. Up to now her every album to my best favorite. Say I am Sheryl's song fan indeed. But just like her song, which is mature and transcendency. But she is duplicity as a woman. As a successful 40-year-old woman with mature songs, it really broke her image in her fans that she blame younger christina and britney with sluts just because they wear bikini....because she sings "I'm gonna soak up the sun. Gonna tell everyone to lighten up, I've got no one to blame..." and "All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die," "If it makes you happy, It can't be that bad". And not long after that storm, we all can see her in bikini and scamper about in her music video Soak Up the Sun when she is 40-year-old. All this convince us that she do envy their young. And be anxious to show her good even in 40-year-old. Even she do looks good in 40 but it has broken her image.
