The song that you are looking for that has the line "how can i fall if you just won't give me..." is actually called "how can I fall". i'm not sure if sergio mendez actually sang that song because the original group that performed it is called "breathe".

I'm an old jazz funker and I remember Sergio mendez with Brasil 88 doing a track that I think was called "I'll tell you" can anyone verify this and if it exists can you tell me which album it is on.

I've been a follower of Mr. Mendez's music since 1965. I saw him perform in central park, NYC in 1973. Fantastic. His music has brought me so much joy in my life, I could never thank him enough. His music has made me dream of love when there was none in my life and seek love and not give up when love was lost. When love was found again his music was there with me inside my very soul. His music is a very part of me as is the love his music tells of.
