Discussion: Seam

I am listening to seam for more than 8 years now. It is the best band I know. I love them.

i love this band. i know it is pretty boy rock but they are great. it is full of real emotion that no one can replicate. they can sew their guitars in together better thn most rock bands, and they add a style to it that is incredible. Sooyoung is one of my favorite song writers ever and his music especially on are you driving me crazy has made alot of difference in my life. it sucks they broke up. sooyoung's new band EE isn't as good and he doesn't write or sing the songs so you do the math. seam needs to start making music again.

A great band, classic Indie-rock in the very best sense of the word. Always loved Soo Youngs vocals going back to the days of Bitch Magnet. Everybody should have the first 3 Seam albums in their collection (and a copy of the last one).

Seam have been with me since 1990.... I have never tired of playing any of the albums, even though I know all the words. thanks guys.

I'm glad there are still seam fans out there. They're one of my favorites also...ee has so much potential...tobin is a great singer/songwriter also (first ee album is great)...but these guys are too busy working and being 30 something. Wish they would focus on the music more...ee has the potential to be a more mature and overall better seam...i just wish they'd do it.

I never knew seam broke up... To bad, they made some great albums; I especially like the problem with me.. but I have all, but headsparks (I have a copy but I don't consider that)...
Gotta go and check out this band EE... never heard of them... anyone know on which label they are?
anyway, seam should go there in the list with bands like Slint, Codeine as inportant but unknown bands of the 90ties

I don't know so much about which label fits which band, but I think it would be either labeled as Indierock, or maybe slow core.. I think they just made hell of good and intense guitarmusic, songs with a needle, which you wonder when it is gonna stick you, and when it does, you just didn't see it coming.....

Maybe now it would be considered emo as everything is consider emo today which isn't extreemly loud or poppy.......

Gna Gna
