Rx Bandits
Forum
I live in the UK and am a HUGE rx bandits fan, seen them six times now. My seventh time will be on the 5th may in Manchester, CANT WAIT!!! I cant see the reel big fish connection, Sublime...yeah but rbf not at all! The more i listen to Progress the more i notice about it, but think i like best about RXB are the little tweaks they make to songs at their shows, often bands stick to the album version of the song, note by note but Matt can throw his voice and pitch, along with the rest of the band to make each performance an amazing and very individual experiance! I saw them Yesterday in Leeds, unfortunatly, through lack of advertising (no tickets, just pay on the door at a very small uni pub/club) meant only a small number of fans showed up, 68 in fact! some of those had to leave early as well, due to the poor public transport services round here. So by the end of the night there were 47 people left! It was definatly the best gig ive been to! so private and just....perfect! Got to meet up with Steve(s) again too, for a bit of lunch, in the sun, it was soooooooooooooo nice. Anyways enough of my rambling........ I LOVE RXB. lawa

" i love the rx bandits.... they r the best!!!... i would die to meet them!! and who ever thinks they suck..... needs to listen to them again!!!!! they r the BEST ska band ever!!!! i love them!!!!... infact im listing to them right now!! analog boy!! rxb is the best!!!!!!!!!!...... im the #1 rxb fan!!!"
You need to chill out girl. I have dedicated a good part of the last 4 years to that band, i might be taking over the fan site, and i still dont label my self the #1 fan. We are all equal, as long as you appreciat the band for thier lyrics, and message. NOT: "OMG! THIER SO HOT! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! #1 FAN EVER!" I was at the Santa clara university show as well... and i have to tell you.... that Rufio crowed sucked ass!.
Every one has to check out the message board, and get involved. It may not work for a while, we are transfering files and owner ship. Thanks for every thing.
skank for peace, Dave

I love Rx bandits with passion and on 5th may 2003 i saw them for the second time. I went down to the Roadhouse Manchester at 10:30 to wait for them. They turned up at about 1:00 and steve borth II came out to talk to me and my mates then matt came to talk to. We then took Steve shopping around manchester and he give us his hotmail addy. The gig was amazing to and it was bye far the better i'v ever been to. May 5th 2003 goes down as being the best day of my life and i cant wait till they come back the england

Rx bandits is without a doubt the greatest band i have ever heard. They are seriously talented and can sure rock a crowd live. Matt Embree is and inspiration to me and i aspire to perfom music as he does, for myself and the people. I've only seen one band and several shows and all of them were RxB. Can't wait till "The Resignation" comes out and hope to see them again soon,

Those guys are great. I get so excited every time i listen to them. Their music is not really set on one genre really. They play diverse music, all of it fantastic. I have been a fan for a year and a half now, when i bought a compilation cd with the song lost on it. I have their Progress cd and wish i could get a hold of their prior cds. I would definitely buy any cd they have, because i know their great. I know all the words and can't wait to see those bandits in concert in July when they come south. I am drving four hours to see them and it will be totally worth it. AIM: SKANKNBANDITDAVE E-MAIL: DAVIDSEP30@CABLEONE.NET LOCATION: BILOXI,MS

Rx Bandits are one of the most influential (geez..I can't spell) bands out there today. They are trying to change the way music is just like bands like Refused and older bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. God Bless these guys for what they are trying to do with this art. I feel these guys are highly unappreciated for their work. There are too many horrible bands on the radio that don't need to be there. The Bandits should be taking the high spots that these bands have. I don't mean the "money" thing, just the respect and recognition. I tell everyone about these guys and wear my "Seal Beach Tap Water" shirt proudly. God Bless you guys and bless everyone who listens to such an amazing band. Spread the word and lets hope that The Resignation is not the last album as stated. Duffman

The first time I heard the Bandits was on a free Drive-Thru Records sampler. I thought they sounded cool so I downloaded "Halfway.." and "Progress." I was blown away by "Progress." It was like a breath of fresh air to hear something like that where the whole CD was about stuff that matters... not just about girls and love and stuff. Even though I don't agree with a lot of Matt's beliefs, I have sooo much respect for him and the passion he brings to his music. Anyway, I just saw them for the first time at Graceland in Seattle and it was like no concert I've ever been to. Those guys can rock the crowd like nothing else. Aahhh it was too good for words!! I wrote Matt an email about the war in Iraq and some other stuff a few months ago and he wrote back and I knew I had to meet this guy and talk to him. So after the concert I waited for a while and I got to meet him along with all the other guys. He is really a great person. He could go on and on about global crises and society for hours and it was a little intimidating but he was funny and just plain nice. Then I got a picture with him and that was the cherry on top. I hope more people find out about Rx Bandits becuase they don't know what they're missing. I can't wait for The Resignation! :P

When people say the Rx Bandits are one of the best bands there is, they're lying. Because the Rx Bandits aren't just one of the best. They are THE best. No band beats the Rx Bandits. The thing I like about them is that they play many different styles. They aren't sucky and stick to one exact style of music. Also, they stick up to their beleifs. Most bands would just do whatever gets them money and fame, but the Rx Bandits are better than that. RXB IS THE BAND FO ME.

a little while back my friend gave me progress for my birthday, and it turned out to be the best birthday present i can think of. its so refreshing to finally find a band whos songs DONT all sound the same. Progress is just as it is titled, a progression from classifiable music ... its amazing. unfortunatly the bandits dont tour the east coast very often so for me to say that ive even seen them twice is slightly remarkable. they kicked major ass at the warped tour in philly/camden causing a fantastic dust storm from the crazy skank-pit. i recently saw them tear up the trocadero in philly. i have never seen that place rock so hard. its great to go to a show where it's not all about smoke and mirrors and image, they come out to play music, and they have a rad talent. the best part is the jams they play between each song, to hear them make music right there, thats amazing ... thats true music. if only i could have a recording of one of those jams. after the show my friends and i waited around and sure enough they came out to pack up their instruments and equipment. (another thing that makes them so great ... their accesability, they dont have security guards, they love to hang out with the fans after shows, and they carry their own damn stuff) i was able to score a few autographs, and talk it up with chris and steve borth, and finally matt embree ( my lyrical hero) he was so down to earth and eager to talk to us. we spent about an hour just talking about music, siblings, football, avril levigne, and such ... and he was so into it he promised us guest list spots for the next philly show. he even wrote me some poetry in my progress cd booklet ... so much more meaningful than just a signature. ill never forget how gracious they are to their fans. right now im loving the resignation ... its been too long since ive heard new bandits ... and if its at all possible ... this album is even better than progress. amazing. i cant wait to see them again ...

i absolutely love the rxbandits! they are my favorite band and always will be. they are the best band out there and if you dont like them, well you suck cuz they're so fucking awesome! i saw them a few nights ago at the house of blues in anaheim. they rocked so hard!!! its such a relief to go to one of their shows because like matt said, you dont have to worry about getting socked in the face or being stomped on by some random person. you're just there to dance and listen to the awesome music. the resignation rocks my socks and is definitely the cd in my cd player these days. progress will always and forever be my favorite cd of all time. i have the pleasure of going to hs where matt did. i found old hs pictures of him in old yearbooks. they're so cute. the sad thing is, not very many people there know who the rxbandits are. the only people that know about them are no longer attending school there. advertizing shows about the rxbandits is definitely a fun job around here because you get to talk to and meet a lot of cool people and you get to talk about how awesome they are and what they stand for. the food not bombs benefit at chain reaction was so awesome. it was so cool that other people out there felt the same way about the war as i do. i think thats really cool! i think we're all blessed to have a band that knows their shit. i absolutely love "sell you beautiful" because its just out there and tells you straight up not to be materialistic. i love their values. on halloween i went trick or treating with some friends and we went to matts house. it was so funny. his mom's so cute. i can't wait to see them again! in the mean time i'll be listening to their new cd and watching the dvd. love you guys! keep believing!
