R.I.P. Johnny Ramone. I got to see them in Germany on toru in 89', We got back stage and met the guys and they are so nice to us we just could not take it. We gave Joye a tee-shirt and he had it on when they played live on MTV that next month. It was so cool to see him in that shirt on MTV we just fliped!!!!! Saw them once more in S.F. in 92' at The Greek, they rocked!!!! The Ramones just had it down from the start, and will be a part of how Rock'n'Roll is played forever. I have to say the Ramones had a 50's Rock'n'Roll think going on and really did not play "PUNK Rock" it was just Rock'n'Roll. Look in to some of the 50's Rock'n'Roll bands, you mite find some real cool stuff if you like the Ramones. You mite have to dig a bit but it's out in the small mom'n'pop shops. P.S. You mite trip out on this.......Look in to Johnnys view on the World and War and how "Right Wing" he was, and did not party at all. That made me trip to see that PC boy Eddi Veder was at his wake. But Johnny was far from your next punk rocker out in the pit. He had sold off all of his gear to Maneys Music in NYC some time back, and was not in to the music thing at all anymore to say the least. A rock star friend of mine bought his white guitar for big bucks three years ago. Well have a nice rest and see you in the after life Johnny.

Richard Hell rox my sox....

Yes, Salem, it is true. Howard Stern is remaking the film.

About not being into the music thing.. I heard they sold off all their shit because years ago they sold all the rights to their songs and as a result started losing major income. You think about it... all those records that are now selling, fuck, every other channel or movie you here them.. and they earn NOTHING for it. Its sad, really.

how can ya
remake
"Rock n Roll High School" ???

there's no way to recapture that
authentic
low - budget
low - brow
gabba gabba hey - ness
of the original

and
oh
how i LUST
after
Principal Togar !!!
( she's a hottie in that
special
"severe school ma'am" kinda way)

on the 'extras'
contained on the "R n R High School" dvd
producer Roger Corman
divulges that the first choice of band for the film was............
Cheap Trick !!!

I would have been fine with Cheap Trick instead of the Ramones!
They could have sang "I want you to want me..." to Principal Toger.

you can not make a remake of Rock n Roll High School!
fuck, no idiot in the world would go and see that, I would only go to the premiere to throw rotten tomatoes at the cast but that's about it!
Howard Stern needs a kick in the butt!

really sad indeed :(

PS, Richard Hell, ever heard his version of Christian Rat Attack, not the one he put on the star EP but the later version feat Bobby Soxx (who originally wrote the song).... scary stuff! Hell is just amzing!
