You're love and loyalty to the unknown will be your affliction. You research petty differences in dialogue and translations of musical lyrics without understanding the true meaning behind them. Thankyou Justice!!!!!!!.......Finally someone with some sense! I agree that Ramstein's anti-American messages that they are sending out to people you and me alike are not the kind of things us kids or anyone need to be influenced and corrupted by. But, also, like me I feel that it is alright to listen to such music if we truly feel as though a petty thing such as a mere metal band will not have an effect on how we act or talk and just listen to it because we like the music itself, not the lyrics. I know by saying that I am not speaking for everyone but i do feel as though we can still enjoy music for reasons other than offensive, and judgemantal lyrics......I mean i like Ramstein a lot but i dont agree with their beliefs at all.

Q: Speaking about contexts, how do you react to accusations of nazi connotations in your music and videos? As far as I know especially in the US you were heavily criticized for that....
A: The problem was that in the US our lyrics were understood in a completely wrong way. That is where the false evaluation of what we represent with ourselves comes from. To avoid it once and for all we want to give a really good translations of our lyrics on the internet. So everyone can understand them in a more or less right way.
This is an interview with one o the members from the band....this may clear up some misunderstandings about them being neo-nazis ans so forth....just a thought.

Rammstein shows unprecedented talent in the rock world without needing to scream into the microphone, listen to Semann, Till's voice is amazing, also in Mutter he shows great skill.
You don’t need to headbang slash your arms up with shards of glass to like Rammstein, most of the music is actually smooth and easy to listen to for the average person.
None of the six members (rammstein is NOT a man, ramstein is a place in Germany, the band added an 'M') are queers, Till Lindemann has a Child, Richard Z Krusp/Bernstein has a little girl, and Flake Lorenz has children, they are all easy going and very nice people but because they are German they are subjected to ridicule from stupid people like Justice and Funky Monkey who are too fucking ignorant to see the amazing talent in these men, do you realize what you are saying? Neo-Nazis are rare in Germany, it’s now a peace-loving beautiful country

Negro's, Chinese and other minorities are still subject to an extreme amount racism in the united states, yet people seem to forget how the American people took Africans from their homeland and made them slaves, and when President Lincoln abolished slavery, they were killed in the streets and forced to flee to better countries like Canada.
Not once has Rammstein showed that they want to "take over America" and to destroy youth groups, this is the voice of ignorant people that cannot embrace the fact that Germany is now part of the UN, and has no tension between any other countries so ,my friends, if you accuse the great band Rammstein of nazism and racism, you are the racists, and you are also hypocrites. That’s all I have to say.
P.s Rammstein was not formed out of"tragedy, loss, anger and hatred" they sing about love in many of there songs, not to mention they came together from other bands, because they wanted their own type of music.

Hello, I'm from Brazil (ich bin Brasilianerin aus Rio de Janeiro) and I love Rammstein and some german musics. I hate when people talk bad about this band, in particular, if they didn't have open your heart and soul to listen them... That songs have passion and energy and are the best of at all...

Live-aus-Berlin: Are you sure about Germany having HALF the military force it had between 1942-1944 because half is still one hell of a lot? You know you really shouldn't criticise people's spelling without checking your own first. You also should not criticise America for its history of racism. I won't say ANYTHING about German history, and I certainly won't hold it against them. Just because Britain managed to get Canada right doesn't mean that Canadians are allowed to tell Americans off for being racist in the past while also saying that Germany is great.
Germany is a lovely country and anyone who says it is the home of neo-Nazism is uneducated. Nazis left Germany before the communists, both of whom are still very much active in America. Rammstein is not a Nazist band, and I hate the way people from America have opinions about European countries and other North American countries. I like Rammstein's music and their message. I speak German and it really annoys me when people misinterpret the lyrics and try to tell us about Rammstein's anti-American message. I agree that America deserves a lot worse than it gets, because I hate the racist attitudes of many Americans. They also forget that there are many anti-American bands within the USA, such as Anti-Flag. My favourite song by Rammstein is Ich Will.

Rammstein is a great fuckin band, they are my most favorite I have listened to them for over 5 years now. They were my first group I actually started listening to. I also like Slipknot, Soulfly and stuff like that. I have read many of your guys' forums and they are good and I agree with most, but some I dont. Rammstein has no influence for power or military strength how could you say something so stupid? My oldest brother is in the Army and is stationed in Germany and is a Rammstein fan himself and has not been treated like shit and hes been there for a year and a half. He has worked with the German Army many times and they are great guys he said, Germany is a very pro American place. Neo Nazi's exist more in this country then they do in alot of places. Neo Nazi's still do exist and are harbored in areas in Eastern Europe. Any way Rammstein are not nazi's. And even if they do sing about there military does that mean they are Nazi's, GOD DAMN IT, every country has to have some pride in there military it cant just be America that can sing about how great we are, its called Nationalism! Its perfectly harmless. And all that goes out to Justice or what ever his name is. Most of Europe could not take on the US anyway, Germany is one of our greatest allies in Europe besides Great Britain, we have bases there! Americans live there, and most importantly Americans that serve our country! HOOAH Go Army!

I don't mean to be rude American, because I agree with you, but I have 2 things to say to you: 1. Nazi is short for "nationalist" and 2. British people generally don't like being told that they're allies of America. We got nil points in the Eurovision Song Contest because of Operation: Iraqi Freedom. The British don't like America as much as Blair wants us to. Oh, and the French actually like you. They just don't want to admit it.
But that ain't the point. Rammstein is cool and I've heard enough about their image, so let's talk about their music!

when we are here discusing the meaning of Nazi's I would lik to remark on both American and Brazilman: First BM: Nazi's isn't short for Nationalist: It is short for national-socialist, which means member of the NSDAP, which was the party of Hitler. Therefor Nationalist and Nazi are not the same.. This doesn't mean that Nationalsim is harmless American, I am even quiet suprised by this remark: Nationalism was the (read THE) cause of the two world wars, as it was for the war in former Yougoslavia. Nationalism is no simple love for your own, but also indicates hate towards other countries. Nationalist see there own country (and people) as superior to others, which must ofcourse lead to war.. Another example of this bad nationalism is the immer and deep trust Americans seem to have in the rightiousness of their own country and people, it leads to a socity in which no questions are asked about ones own, failing of ones own are always prjected upon an other group or country, which thus forms a threath (?) to the own, and must b destroyed.. Because the own country can not be wrong we just blame another....
That in example is Nationalism, so Nationalism has no beauty in it.....
If you wanna know something more about Nationalism in America, I would advise to take up some books of Gore Vidal, or just some things about the Bush-doctrine......

Hey, i read that the song Sonne had a working title (translated to english) of "The Boxer" and it supposedly was based on a Deutsch boxer that one of band members liked.....alot. and they wanted him to use it as him theme song, but he said no.

Of course it isn't, and perhaps Americans should stop thinking American is the language of the universe. Ich habe Amerika ein scheissenloch gefunden. That was probably wrong... Rammstein are above singing in your language just so you can understand. Maybe Americans should speak in English or German so that Europeans can understand. Spanish is a more popular language than English. Rammstein sound better in German than they would in another language, because German is cool.
