| Discussion: Rammstein Ok ONCE AND FOR ALL LET'S SETTLE THE "DU HAST" LYRIC THING! Officially du hast translates as "you have". You know you really shouldn't criticise people's spelling without checking your own first. You also should not criticise America for its history of racism. I won't say ANYTHING about German history, and I certainly won't hold it against them. Just because Britain managed to get Canada right doesn't mean that Canadians are allowed to tell Americans off for being racist in the past while also saying that Germany is great. Germany is a lovely country and anyone who says it is the home of neo-Nazism is uneducated. Nazis left Germany before the communists, both of whom are still very much active in America. They were my first group I actually started listening to. I also like Slipknot, Soulfly and stuff like that. I have read many of your guys' forums and they are good and I agree with most, but some I dont. Rammstein has no influence for power or military strength how could you say something so stupid? My oldest brother is in the Army and is stationed in Germany and is a Rammstein fan himself and has not been treated like shit and hes been there for a year and a half. He has worked with the German Army many times and they are great guys he said, Germany is a very pro American place. Neo Nazi's exist more in this country then they do in alot of places. Neo Nazi's still do exist and are harbored in areas in Eastern Europe. Any way Rammstein are not nazi's. Therefor Nationalist and Nazi are not the same.. This doesn't mean that Nationalsim is harmless American, I am even quiet suprised by this remark: Nationalism was the (read THE) cause of the two world wars, as it was for the war in former Yougoslavia. Nationalism is no simple love for your own, but also indicates hate towards other countries. Nationalist see there own country (and people) as superior to others, which must ofcourse lead to war.. Another example of this bad nationalism is the immer and deep trust Americans seem to have in the rightiousness of their own country and people, it leads to a socity in which no questions are asked about ones own, failing of ones own are always prjected upon an other group or country, which thus forms a threath (?) to the own, and must b destroyed.. Because the own country can not be wrong we just blame another.... That in example is Nationalism, so Nationalism has no beauty in it.....
