audioslave rocks! meybe not like ratm but still its aint a bad album

>>By audioslave   (Monday, 10 Mar 2003 17:16)

Hey Audioslave fans! I officially renamed "Show Me How To Live" as "I Should Have Stayed With Soundgarden or Overdosed Years Ago". I didn't change much of the song because it speaks for itself, I feel. The cool ending though where I do that really amazing sound effects with my voice, i made it so I say "I should be deeeaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaa a aa aa addddddddd." Hit me up Audioslave fans!

>>By Chris Cornell   (Wednesday, 19 Mar 2003 18:52)

AUDIOSLAVE CAN'T BE COMPARED TO RATM.IT'S A PITY THAT THEY ONLY MADE THREE ALBUMS BUT THEY ARE REALLY GOD.
AND MAYBE IN THE FUTURE THEY MEET AGAIN TO GIVI US SOME GOOD AND FUCKING SONGS. AUDIOSLAVE IS SHIT.

>>By MR. YEYO   (Friday, 21 Mar 2003 13:31)

Chris is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than this ZACK you all love...I mean pleaaaasee!!! it's Chris Cornell we're writing about here...how could you compare those two? They are totally different (Chris is Chris and Zack is...well...whatever). I'm SO glad RATM split up. I think Tom, Brad and Tim are great musicians but they just needed a GREAT singer and they have one NOW. They just KICK ASS and I love them ALL...And for you guys that might be thinking "this is a girl who's like IN LOVE with Chris"... WRONG!!!!! My fave Audioslave is BRAD WILK! (I love drummers in general). Bye people =)

>>By Jen   (Monday, 31 Mar 2003 16:12)

You're right Jen. I love Brad too. I love him so much i masturbate him before each show...and if he performs well, i felate him afterwards. You know my ending in "show me how to live" where I change my voice all weird? that was because when i was singing it he hopped up off his drum set and rammed his hog into my mouth! it was so cool and then he orgasmed all over a picture of Zack. I wasn't too happy about that part, but it was cute of him. Dont you agree?

>>By Chris Cornell   (Tuesday, 1 Apr 2003 05:11)

I've read all this crap you've written...
Who the fucking hell are you man?? Stop writing as if you were Cornell...we don't mind if your gay...just deal with it.
I agree with Jen they totally kick ass.

>>By Michael   (Tuesday, 1 Apr 2003 20:30)

Michael,

I am Chris Cornell. I am gay and I am dealing with it. Thanks for the support, man. It's so cool to have so many fans.

Rage sucked. so does Rage-Garden. How can a band that is so anti-capitalism, anti-censorship, anti-worker exploitation be on Capitol Records, and have their songs and videos played on MTV and huge corporate radio stations? The video for "sleep now in a fire" was a parody of GAP commercials that spoke out against child labor and US companies' exploitation of foreign workers, but the jewel case for "the battle of Los Angeles" cd were made in China, undoubtedly by exploited workers.

Am I the only one who thinks this band was nothing hypocritical bullshit, used to sell records. 90% of Rage fans have no idea about the political views of Rage, they're just frat boys and steakheads who like to listen to the screaming and mosh chords while they beat the shit out of eachother. No one on this entire thread had actually named a specific issue rage rapped about, they just use the cop-out "they're all anti-government bro". If any of you 12 year-olds did your research you'd see that many of Zack/Rage's issues are asanine, like a murderer who have been jailed for killing a police officer to be freed, because he waw an outspoken activist who Zack/Rage happen to share a lot of ideas with. However, I bet not one of you even knows who Mumia Abu-Jamal is.

If you want to listen to a real political band, go listen to Propaghandi. And whoever said that POD is political or has am important message or whatever, Go shoot yourself in the face.

While I'm on the bashing Rage topic, their bassplayer is an assclown. If I have to see that pig-tailed, full-body tatooed, neanderthal playing his nipple high bass in one more band, I'm gonna lose it.

>>By Dresden   (Thursday, 10 Apr 2003 00:30)

Hey Dresden,

you seem to have it all under control and together, maybe you could show me how to live? come on, i mean, you gave me life now show me how to live it. show me how to live. while you're at it, how about i nurse at your nipple like a fucking child?

>>By Chris Cornell   (Friday, 11 Apr 2003 05:15)

Whatever you're into Chris. Break your rusty cage and run.

>>By Dresden   (Friday, 11 Apr 2003 08:05)

Hey dresden!

I was refering to my new hit song "show me how to live"! It's such a good song! I recommend downloading it immediately.

every body here is full of shit. no wonder rage split up, all of you are a disgrace.
see you all in hell   (Monday, 14 Apr 2003 01:36)

well calculated comment.   (Monday, 14 Apr 2003 11:49)

No, Chris' voice is shit. Don't even compare RATM and Audioslave. They are not the same at all. Maybe some same members, but nothing alike. And Chris' voice is shit. It sounds like lead vocalist of Creed's band. It's completely horrible, and it makes me want to vomit. I'm sure it appeals to some, but compare and contrast Chris to Zack, ........ *holds scale* ok, Zack wins.......

>>By Melissa   (Tuesday, 15 Apr 2003 04:07)

rage was fucking badass. Seriously no one gives a shit about their political slogan. But they were damn good at playing their instruments. Yea, it just feels so damn god to listen to. ZAch is definitely the best lyricist, not because of what he was talking about, but how his lyrics can adapt to the tempo of the beat real well. Tom gives the best guitar solo riffs ever, his wammy bar is like a joystick and everything you hear is from the guitar, he doenst use synthesizers or any other shit. Brad wilk is a great drummer, the master of the double bass. Tim is comparable to the bassist of metallica and has good stage presence. Yea they fucking kick ass.

Chris cornell, you're pretty funny man.

>>By rage kicks ass   (Wednesday, 16 Apr 2003 03:15)

Rage Kicks Ass,

Aside from having no taste in music, you obviously don't play any instruments or have any concept of what talent really is.

Zack could be replaced by any other Over-zealous, Ultra-Serious, Issue-Simplifying, Teen-Angst-Exploiting Pseudo-Rapper. It's that simple.

The drummer is nothing special, nor is that assclown with pigtails and half his body tattooed black playing bass ABOVE his nipples.

Tom Morello is the only person in that band with any real talent. But if you think he doesn't use any "synthesizers or any other shit". you're either retarded or have no idea what you're talking about. Tom Morello uses more effects and processors, or "synthesizers" as you called them, than any other guitarist I'm aware of. Tom uses the following pedals/proccessors: Boss TR-2 Tremolo, Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah, Digitech Whammy Pedal, Boss DD-2 Digital Delay, DOD FX40B Equalizer, Ibanez DFL, MXR Phase 100, Vox Tone Bender Fuzz, Talk box (could be pedal or modified pignose), Electro Harmonix Small Stone. Check out http://www.hamptonplace.com/tonedepot/mustm.htm if you don't believe me.

>>By Dresden   (Wednesday, 16 Apr 2003 07:01)

Dresden,

You talk the talk, but you still havent shown me how to live...and you DEFINITELY DID NOT MAKE AMENDS. so you better think again and show me how to live.

>>By Chris Cornell   (Wednesday, 16 Apr 2003 19:58)

yea dredson, i agree

but brad wilk is an amazing drummer, u should check out his earlier career, some of the drum solos he did in the early 90s. I would put him on the same level as mike portnoy of dream theater, they are both extremeely good at double bass

>>By rage   (Thursday, 17 Apr 2003 00:07)

Rage,

NO NO NO, YOU THINK BRAD MADE AMENDS!??!?! YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

>>By Chris Cornell   (Thursday, 17 Apr 2003 06:41)

Rage changed my life. Because of it no other band will come close to them. It sucks they aren't around, especially now when we could desperately use a sane voice. That said I've been checking out a lot of other politcal/socially aware groups like Propaghandi, Dead Prez, Mos Def, and Dialated Peoples.

There is a lot of underground shit all around too. In my area there is a band called Warsawpack, who have fuckin insane lyrics and an original style. Anyways, I know Rage is gone and it blows. But there are other groups who are amazingly talented and who can teach us things. The best tribute you can pay to Rage is taking that anger and adreneline you feel from their music and making the revolution happen.

What better time than now..

>>By truth addict   (Wednesday, 23 Apr 2003 07:52)

Truth Addict,

As much as you claim that Rage has changed your life, I am willing to bet that you are not now or ever will be involved in any form of a revolution outside of a student senate organization at school. The truth is, all these people talk so much about how rage has changed their life and "what better time than now..." but nothing's getting done. And what exactly are you look to revolutionize? You probably dont even know. You can sit there and talk about an empty revolution that both will never happen and doesn't have any foundation to begin with. I got over my revolutionary phase...it's called "middle school". Yeah, I loved Rage and talking about "changing the system" in middle school. For all the thousands of rage fans that call themselves "revolutionaries", i would go as far as to say that less than one in a million of them has actually done something "revolutionary". Truth Addict, you can go on and fight for the "truth"...in fact, I encourage it but as "socially aware" as you think you are, I would bet everything I have on you not being one bit of an actual revolutionary.

>>By Raw Dog   (Wednesday, 23 Apr 2003 17:06)

Kwazimoto has it all under control. SHOW ME HOW TO LIVE KWAZI! SHOW ME HOW TO LIVE!!!!! Truth ain't made amends, he better think agin' nikka...you know what i'm sayiiiiin yea you do kwazi. i'm so kwazi like kwanza nikka. no doubt i say we get together and merck this bitch you what i'm saaaaayiiiiinnn SHOW ME HOW TO LIVE!!!

>>By Chris Cornell   (Friday, 2 May 2003 01:40)

It pains me how vapid you people can be when talking about social revolution. First of all, anyone who doesn't know that the government, the CIA, the police, the ANYTHING that Rage ranted about is corrupt is a dipshit and doesn't deserve to be enlightened. Those sort of people don't even deserve to wipe my ass. Second, your sort of people deserve even less to wipe my splendorous, shiny ass of sticky fecal matter. Like you really care about any of this. You're all quite comfortable with the fact that social corruption makes your life easier. Want to say it doesn't? Think that things like civil rights violations actually pertain to you. Let's be frank here, the CIA doesn't give a flying fuck what you do. You're not even worthy of THAT.

Okay, so for all you stupid people out there, that's everyone, what I'm trying to say is Rage Against the Machine was just an excuse for some guy and his musical buddies to bitch and whine their asses off about things that minorly perturbe them but don't really affect them. They were good, yes, but not that good.

On to Audioslave. Who the HELL authorized Chris Cornell's transformation into this...thing, this California THING that he has become? I've been talking a lot recently about the Californication of Seattle, Wa, and on a side note, if you're from California and want to move up here, STAY THE FUCK OUT OF MY CITY. Bitch. Anyways, I'm rather dissapointed in Chris Cornell for...developing the way he did. He's trashed his Seattle roots, and I'm almost ashamed to say I can walk to the Sound Garden that Sound Garden named themselves after.

"Hey Audioslave fans! I officially renamed "Show Me How To Live" as "I Should Have Stayed With Soundgarden or Overdosed Years Ago". I didn't change much of the song because it speaks for itself, I feel. The cool ending though where I do that really amazing sound effects with my voice, i made it so I say "I should be deeeaaaaaa aaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaa a aa aa addddddddd." Hit me up Audioslave fans!"

"chris"? I couldn't have said it better myself. Right on, my well spoken friend.

So, to summerize: I don't believe any Rage fan is a real revolutionist, I don't believe Rage themselves were revolutionists, I'm mad at Chris Cornell but I still want to have his babies, Audioslave has incredable musical talent but that's just about it, they can't put it together right and they won't last, and lastly, I am a pirate who OWNS YOUR ASS AND ROCKS YOUR WORLD.

Yeah, I'm done.

>>By Tequila   (Monday, 5 May 2003 08:25)

Chris cornell is a dumbassmuthafucker!
are there any black people that actually listen to this crazy shit! its a bomb track yo

>>By kwazimoto   (Tuesday, 6 May 2003 10:07)

tequilla...

well said, but some people like RATM only because of the music. Also, RATM donated a lot of their profits to orginaztions and charities, so even though a lot of the issues they stood against didn't pertain to them, they still were giving money to good causes.

Audioslave isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is.

>>By bobo   (Tuesday, 13 May 2003 04:15)

Hey whats all this revolution talk. I know that a lot rage fans claim to be revolutionaries but just go break stuff when they get drunk. What ever happened to just liking the music. Rage is probably one of my favorite bands, but I'm not a revolutionary or claim to be one. I just know that RATM is a group of guys who make some fucking awsome music. As for this Dresden cat, chill out man. If you think thhe band has so little talent, why do you look them up on the internet and act like you know so much about them. Did you sell morelllo all his shit? I sure you were probably there when the band attempted to rush the federal reserve too? As for no body not knowing who Abu-Jamal. I think he might be that journalist from penn. that was supposedly was wrongly accused of shooting a police officer in 1982. But I'm sure you knew all that buddy.
To everyone else sorry about that. That kid was just bugging me a bit. All I really want to say is Rage against the machine is the shit. Adioslave is all right. But any normal person knows Zack and Morelllo were the band. No Zack no good. Peace
eggplant

>>By Eggplant   (Monday, 19 May 2003 10:20)

Eggplant wins. It took 3 months, but now I know there's 1 rage listener who knows what they're issues are. As for all that you said, Rage blows I wouldn't have actually wasted my time to hang out with them. And you can find out all that equipment stuff by looking on the internet, that's why I left the URL, try reading. Good try though.

>>By Dresden   (Wednesday, 21 May 2003 04:02)

Rage against the Manchine is the best fucking band in the world Zack was the best singer and Chris Cornell Just ruined them. i Hate everyone that likes this chris guy
