thats far too much effort.
thats devotion

>>By MOTU_KOAB

They're the best band ever formed, I have a right to be devoted.

>>By Flagg

Radiohead are not the best band ever formed. Although they are very good. Their music is very... clever.

>>By Obfuscated

you should all count your lucky stars you were born in a time period that could listen to the genious that is Thom Yorke!
my fav--> ok computer

>>By yawgm8th

Absolutely yawg. My favourite is all their albums.

One day I'm gonna save enough money to follow them on a world tour and see them at every show.

>>By Flagg

Are you saying that the people who experience the Apocalypse will be the luckiest because every musical recording that has survived will be available to them and so they can listen to every single great musical artist ever?

>>By Sk8a H8a

Well I saw Thom and Jonny and the London Sinfonietta. Need I say how brilliant it was?

>>By Flagg

And now they're back in the studio recording the next album, or so I hear. Everything is in its right place.

>>By Flagg

Well, OK Computer won that poll for the greatest album ever and The Bends was quite high up to so way to go Radiohead

>>By Sk8a H8a

yeah i was quite surprised by that, even though i know it's a really popular album i thought 'nah the channel 4-watching public can't agree with me!'

>>By Flagg

Such polls are ridiculous though - they don't represent the view of everyone, coz it's purely British, and then it's purely Channel 4 watchers, and then it's narrowed down to those who are sad enough to vote and it STILL doesn't represent their overall opinion. Coz they only vote for their favourite album... anything that comes second gets no recognition - maybe The Joshua Tree by U2 is EVERYONE'S second favourite album (except mine), but it still doesn't get the recognition OK Computer does, even though that'd make it way more popular

>>By Sk8a H8a

Okaeey so I just checked and this computer has no Radiohead songs uploaded at all... why?? I'll sort that problem out... soon

>>By Sk8a H8a

in one insane depressed mood i bought The Bends and then i realised this was music post suicide so i never listened to Thom Yorkes drone ever again, I know why most people like it, it is because they like music that recognises their own pain but when that does nothing to get them out of their state of mind , recognition is good but it does nothing to improve their mood

>>By soony (Sunday, 17 Nov 2002 02:14)

Oh yeah and what is this nutter on about?? Don't you just hate such ignorant people? I enjoy Radiohead when I'm perfectly happy...

>>By Sk8a H8a

I enjoy Radiohead all the time.

Yeah, I know the channel 4 poll doesn't get us any nearer to knowing what the greatest album ever actually is, but really that's because there is no greatest album ever. Except that there is, and it's OK Computer, not because of a crappy poll but because I know. In other words, that's my opinion, but I don't believe in opinions - I believe I'm right and everyone else is wrong. There's still no point trying to find the greatest album ever though, because no one would ever agree since some people for some reason don't recognise good music and some people even enjoy bad music. That's my way of saying 'Music is all a matter of opinion'. But I'm narrow-minded. And proud.

>>By Flagg

Haha, everyone believes that, Flagg... it's just that very few people admit it - I think the way to accurately determine the greatest album in the eyes of the world at large would be for the entire world to listen to every single album ever recorded and then rate each of them honestly out of... 1000000 points? However, this is so ridiculously unfeasible that the very concept is like a bleak opposite to Radiohead, with their stark mundanity... not that I'm saying that's a bd thing - it's definitely good!

>>By Sk8a H8a

But even if you did somehow organise that, there would still be people who were outnumbered, and as far as they're concerned the rest of the world would be wrong. The important thing is, *I* know OK Computer is the best album ever. and it doesn't matter that there are plenty of albus I haven't heard.

I learnt My Iron Lung and Airbag today.
:)
Clever me.

>>By Flagg

nice one Flagg - I can play ~ 20 Radiohead songs - they all seem to work on acoustic (funny that...)

>>By Yeastboy

My Iron Lung is easssssssssssy flagg
I'm going to play Paranoid Android for my Higher music at school, but I need a backing track for it -with, i hasten to add, the squelch solo at the end, and also the little interlude before the "rain down", but I can play that solo that is fixed around the 7th, 8th and 9th fretts of the b string, its the bit before I can't play (only got a 22string guitar see - and rearranging the notes on the guitar to suit it would a) take hassle and would probably hurt my fingers b) probably won't be allowed (SQA: Oh, never mind you can play the entire song, but we're just wondering why you played the wrong notes, no no, we can't allow this to happen : FAIL).
Yes - so anyone who knows where i can get an official one (everything has to be official for exams)
Same goes for My Iron Lung if I decide to play it or not....

And surely there is no greatest album, because the only thing that defines what is good is ourselves, but as we are all individuals..........

Wreckin Krew is too shy to say this, so he's ehm, asked me to : I love Radiohead.

>>By Tchock

*frett guitar, not string... its been a looong day

>>By Tchock

Thank you Tchock, for such a precise and accurate description of your Paranoid Android problem. Now I feel inclined to give a similarly precise description of my own problem when playing any song on guitar:

I suck.

As for the greatest band, I stand by what I said: it's Radiohead, and I don't care what other people think. They're entitled to their opinions, but they're wrong.

>>By Flagg

without doubt the best band on this earth. apparently they have hundreds of songs,as yet, unreleased. NO SURPRISES there then!!! superb.

>>By jezber

Hahahaha 22-string guitar would be awesome... and you want an official tab with staves on it? What I did for my performance yesterday on bass was print off the tab from powertabs editor, which is pretty awesome - no doubt you can get the tab on www.powertabs.net but you need to download the program from www.power-tab.net (or just get me to send it to you)... anyway, this is brilliant for pretty much anything musical, with the exception of massive orchestras... the Radiohead tabs I've seen on there are excellent

>>By Sk8a H8a

I think everyone who has heard Radiohead thinks they're the best band ever, some people just won't admit it.

I just watched Meeting People is Easy. Erm. It was good.

>>By Flagg

I don't think they're the best band ever, but they're damn good

>>By Machine_of_Undertow

Radiohead will surely one day be 'booed' by the sheep of 'Hello' magazine...

>>By vitamin_joe

No I think they definitely are the best band ever

>>By Sk8a H8a

they're my 2nd fav. band

>>By odnanref

>>By jezber
