Well, he certainly did. But when he first joined Queen, Brian said he had a voice like a sheep!

well, just logged in to say indeed Fred's voice was amazing!

>>By constanta   (Saturday, 12 Jun 2004 19:59)

Oh, yes. As is Brian's. And Rog sounds like Rod Stewart.
The way Brian made his guitar sound like a full jazz band or a cello was incredible.

Check out his website for a backing track to Last Horizon that you can play guitar to. It's his reverse birthday present to all his fans. And an old drawing of a guitar he would've designed as a kid (other than his Red Special).

Freddie is gay.

>>By Drukq User   (Wednesday, 21 Jul 2004 13:10)

Correction: Freddie WAS gay. And what's your point anyway?

>>By Abraxas   (Thursday, 30 Sep 2004 21:12)

No point, just as I thought.

>>By Abraxas   (Tuesday, 26 Oct 2004 11:51)

I don't think Roger Taylor sounds like Rod Stewart... but then, I don't like Rod Stewart...
<3 Queen

>>By Bitch Fit   (Tuesday, 26 Oct 2004 14:13)

Ugh, I can't stand Rod Stewart. Can we please not talk about him here... or anywhere else?

On to Queen: Their Greatest Hits is a pre-requisitive for any CD collection. Gotta love Bicycle Race!

>>By spikee   (Tuesday, 26 Oct 2004 14:31)

Yeah, well Rog does sound like him. Almost exactly. So... I'm NOT bonkers, then! Someone agrees with me!

when i was at school i was totaly obbsessed whith queen and still now i can safly say they are with no dought the greatest band there ever was. ive got solo albums of freddie murcury, brian may and roger taylor and none of them are near as brilliant as queen (in my opinion) when i was yonger i didnt like hot space as it was different to the usual queen sound but nowadays i find every piece of music on every album a masterpiece the band members are all very well educated masters of what they do and there will never be another queen.
can anyone tell me if john deacan has done any solo work id be interested to get hold of it and hear it.

John Deacon has onlly ever done a couple of things on the soundtrack to the movie "The Biggles", and actually sang on the Bad News version of Bohemian Rhapsody (the spoof metal thing, ya know. The cast was the guys from the Young Ones, and Brian May produced it). Other than that he hasn't done anything solo.

>>By Abraxas   (Wednesday, 24 Nov 2004 09:06)

when was the bad news version of bohemian rhapsody come out ive never heard of it, but with the young ones cast must be cool.

>>By totsnot   (Wednesday, 24 Nov 2004 18:05)

Not sure when... Late 80s/ Early 90s perhaps? I really have no idea.

>>By Abraxas   (Wednesday, 1 Dec 2004 02:52)

oh, my mother and father love this! They was listening it in his youth! At home I have old records, but I don't listen them, because it's not my stile! I like jazz and blues! It's real music for me! I can't understand that people who are listening Hip hop or Pop, I think it's very stupid!

Hey! I heard from Brian May that Queen are going on tour next year in Europe. Their frontman will be Paul Rodgers. For more information (slightly more, anyway), visit www.brianmay.com
Siging out.

who on earth is paul rodgers

Roger Taylor of Queen formed another band called "The Cross".
They existed between 1988 and 1991 and released three albums:
Shove it (1988)
Mad, bad and dangerous to know (1990)
Blue rock (1991)
I like their music very much.

>>By Gentleman1973   (Saturday, 1 Jan 2005 19:42)

Paul Rodgers is the lead songer from the bands Bad Company and Free.

I like Roger Taylor's solo albums, especially "Happiness?".
I haven't heard any from the Cross.

>>By Abraxas   (Monday, 3 Jan 2005 12:36)

yes i have a copy of happiness and enjoy it a lot would like to hear the cross, shove it sounds very familiar

>>By totsnot   (Thursday, 13 Jan 2005 22:38)

You need to wake up as to who Paul Rodgers is. Don't even bother to post in a Music forum if you haven't heard of him. By the way Elvis Presley was the guy who sung 'Suspicious Minds' and Jimi Hendrix was a black guy who mocked the American National anthem and played guitar with his teeth...just in case you didn't know! Fuck sake!!

>>By Da Blues   (Sunday, 7 Jan 2007 02:57)

queen is fantastic. i usually dislike greatest hits cds, as they're often for people who are too lazy to actually look into the band's background, but i listen to queen's greatest hits cd A LOT. it's too good. you can't fight the queen!

Their music is very actually now too. Freddie and the Queen's music very important for the "old Indians" and the young guys too. It is already classical like Bach, Mozart, ant the others.

>>By ntenor   (Friday, 4 May 2007 12:59)

who the hell is this da blues poes ranting like some fucking selfricious know it all
he should not be allowed to post in a music forum
