Still the most important post punk band bar none! twas once said they were the missing link between the sex pistols & nirvana. give them a listen plz >>By GOD I grew up listening to these guys. My first recollection of them was listening to India and Imitation of Christ. My best recollection was at Merriweather Post Pavilion, in Columbia, M\aryland in 1984 several years later for a concert. Great show, memorable evening. My fond feelings for this band come for two reasons - First, it was my young adolescence and they helped define me (sorry Mom). Second, being the youngest of four siblings I was force fed hand-me-downs from my older brothers. Zeppelin, The Stones, Kiss, Aerosmith, etc. I like them all very much, but the Pfurs allowed me to step out and give myself a stamp of originality. Even if I was borrowing their words and attitude, I was able to like them because I liked them. I introduced them to my older brothers. That in and of itself was very cool. The Pfurs were my first forray into expressing myself through music. I actually learned to play bass guitar because of them. I still love this band and always will. There music will never bore me. It is what it is.
