Pinback is amazing, i've never seen them live, but im sure they are great. any other bands like them that can actually sing? american football is great. then there are bands like cross my heart, penfold, and others...that cant sing as well, so it ruins it.

pinback is a band that makes this unbelievable sound. I reallly apprieciate the music and talent that these guys make and have. This is one of those bands that comes to mind when people ask me about being on a desserted island and what kind of music I would be stuck with. ------ Amazing music.

pinback is what music should be ! It uses what words cant to express something powerful. The lyrics are sincere and softly ambiguous.

Straight from the inside. The harmony, layering, song structure, - unlike any! The touch of this music will hit you and leave you wanting more. Very inspiring for home recording artists as myself. Damn its hard to write songs with pinback in my head all the time - i find myself combining their songs with mine. I cant help it!

been digging pinback since I heard 'loro' (at epitonic.com) and have my neck hair stood up by them at three different gigs (the last being at the recent SF show, which was most excellent) - heartfelt music, and sorely needed in these times - peace!

Intricate simplicity? didn't think it was possible til i heard these guys. I'm from dublin, ireland the home of melody and rythym ;) and i'm blown away. tortoise, deathcab for cutie, elliott smith. not bad people to be compared with. hate comparisons but sometimes you need an earth...... powerful stuff guys. Thanks, Gdansk.

I just heard pinback for the first time about three days ago. Since then I have been getting ripped like three
times a day and getting more more aquainted with this totally sweet shit........... I also hate comparisons but I
think that it sounds a lot like elliott smith singing modest mouse style of music. Penelope may make it's way onto
the all time top five greatest songs ever in my oppinion.......... if this doesn't make sense. then sorry because I am pretty stoned right now
if the band ever reads these rambles......... ummmmmmmmm. I think you should give me a job touring with you....... I will
shine your shoes or something. maybe clean some toilets. I am a pretty damn good guitar player as well.... my very favorite in fact.
I don't have any aspirations though. I seem to have this problem if you may..... of being a little too content with life. I don't have
any motivation. I am also the smartest person I know. and the coolest. and the most humble. send me an e-mail
mikeoxmall@hotmail.com

p.s. do you believe in god?
If I had to bet I would say no. but i guess I don't know anything for sure.

pinback is one of my all-time favorite bands. i missed them when they came to chicago back in 2002, but had the honor of catching them this year (March) at the empty bottle. i was beyond impressed. they played all of my favs (OK, so there is hardly a track i don't enjoy) and they were great live. rob crow seemed truly humble and was really diggin' the crowd's response. i was a nerd and talked to him for a bit after the show just to say i thought it was a great show. i never get sick of their albums. i have to pick up their ep's though, so that's where i'll head next. i do have some pretty kick-ass live stuff though, to mix things up.

I've been listening to alot of Pinback lately. If a new Pinback fan were to want to by an album which one would you suggest they start with?

Blue screen life, because that's the one I know best..... No other reason.

I am seeing Pinback in concert in May this year (05). Anybody seen them live before? If anybody is interested, they are playing at The Southgate House on May 28. The Southgate is in Newport KY, right across the river from Cincinnati.
