It's an exellent, and timeless track. Kirsty Hawkshaw is the vocalist. I believe she sang the lyrics, while she was at school without any backing, years before. These 3 engineers must have simply come accross them and created this track for them. Phil & Paul Hartnoll wanted to use the lyrics for their Brown album but they weren't allowed for legal reasons etc. They were allowed however to use the B-sides lyrics which they sampled and manipulated somewhat, and hense, Halcyon was born!
