>>By Phil H(couldnt think of anythin   (Wednesday, 31 Mar 2004 21:01)

her songs are great, they have a jazzy blues feel to it that no one can ignore...her voice is amazing and she is very talented...and about the orgasm thing ur just thinking dirty!

>>By Box Trapped   (Wednesday, 31 Mar 2004 22:47)

maybe she's talented...but her music makes me want to sleep.
it bores me...

>>By Scythe of Silence   (Thursday, 1 Apr 2004 15:59)

It can be a little on the drowsy side (a friend calls her Snorah Jones!) but I love it non-the-less. Candlelight, log fire, nice bottle of red wine. That's the way to listen to her music.

I recall that the last time I was here there were also alot of negative comments on Norah Jones. What happened to them? ARE WE BEING CENSORED?

Anyway, I think that the people behind her plugged very well, the neat girl against the britneys and the avril, she was the gapp in the market. as boring as the other two, but the gap.. Good marketing! Nothing else but Good marketing, and loads of dead fish following the stream.....

The album "New York City" is an exceptionally beautiful album which gets you to understand Norah a little more due to her being more open and diverse in her approach with the help of guitarist and friend, Peter Malick.

For everyone who enjoyed "Come away with me" and "Feels like home", I highly recommend getting "New York City". I always figured she was the next Janis Joplin but there was too much of a commercial element in her other albums.

There are some who would argue it being a Norah Jones album with Peter Malick as the guest and vice versa. I prefer to think of it as two exceptional artists working together to bring out the best qualities in each other which this album does perfectly.

Norah has a beautiful voice, and some of her songs are quite pleasing to the ear. Though, most of her work sounds like one long run on. There isn't any diversity to her music. I heard her top cd and it sounded like the same song....i was rather bored. Yet, she is quite taleneted and i'd love to hear some diversity from her.

Still amazed that her dad's Ravi Shankar!

Aye Jiffo, Talent runs as they say

I understand that Norah & Ravi had very little contact, if any, while she was growing up. The music gene is clearly very strong here!

Norah Jones was on TV the other night. A filmed concert in London. She is a true talent of the highest calibre. Effortless grace!!
