this is such a polished album! i'm used to the three comps of acoustic...but, man, he's good.

Polished? That doesn't sound like what I am used of by Mountain Goats.

well, yeah...that's what i meant. it's way more polished than i would have expected, but it's still awfully good.

I heard some songs in the recordstore the other day, seems to me like a really nice record. To bad I have no money....

John Darnielle is the most talented musician singing today and has already made a saga of music in the last decade. I cant wait to see what his future holds.

There he goes again. The Sunset Tree is another great album by John and his goats as clean as Tallahasse and We Shall All Be Healed with great songs such as Dance Music, This Year, Broom People, Magpie and Hast Thou Considered the Tetrapod. Which if you've been actively keeping up with the mountain goats you've already heard and know how great they are. 13 masterpieces of music in all buy it up before 4ad wises up and raises the prices.

This album sounds too much like the Barenaked Ladies at times, I'll stick to the lo-fi stuff!

yaa going to have to completely disagree with you there but ya dont feel like doing much more then saying that. Off to sleep.

I love nyquil
