The cool thing about Mortiis is,the music isnt your typical,drink a beer and throw yourself into your friends screaming,yet still remains harsh enough to rock out with (wich is a good change of pace,seeing as every band now sounds the same). Pathetic attempts at provocative imagery combined with annoying and redundant synthesized drivel. Not to mention he couldn't sing if his life depended on it. Before you do- don't call me an "alternative nu metalhead who doesn't know what they're talking about". I am an avid fan of Classic Metal, NWOBHM, Speed, Thrash, Death and even Black Metal. Emperor was decent, Dimmu Borgir knows how to use their keyboards, Children of Bodom are good, The Sins of Thy Beloved has talent. Even Cradle of Filth is better than Mortiis. Mortiis is just a ridiculous pantomime who is only known because of his ridiculous getup. >>By Parasite Fraud I find it extremely amusing how many of you seem so willing to get into over-heated arguements on the bases of your opinions. I more of one to accept a person's likes and dislikes, rather than mindless anaylize them in order to put some one down or make ones self seem "superior." As far a Mortiis goes, I find this band to a likeing of mine, but I am not a fan of Dark Metal or Heavy Metal, or however people choose to categorize them. The feelings behind some of his songs are rather imaginative and quite inspiring, not to mention his image is beautifully chaotic. It is not like my opinion matters much, I would just like to express that little ramble and get on with my day.
