Ok,their new songs are brilliant but I just want to talk about "christmas steps" right now.A fantastic piece that blew me away when I heard it live.The closest they've ever been to their mentors, Slint.

I agree with thom on them being influenced by Slint. Anyone who hes never heard their music before and does enjoy Mogwai should go to recordstores NOW!

the christmas song man,..... the christmas song....
it was worth every penny to see them live when they played that song.
slint is kick ass too.
didn't know they were an influence.
