Discussion: Metallica emm firstly i guess i should apologise for my last post, (the one with the cursing!), it seemed funny at the time but i guess it was just immature...I have been warned! Yeah the thing is now with metallica is that, as with most rock bands, it all went way downhill as soon as they stopped taking drugs/alcohol and started 'living healthy'. The metallica gig there was amasing... not just because they were headlining a festival but lars got ill (im not saying that the good bit btw) no it was like a one in a life time gig.. lars was taken to hospital so joey jordison filled in for him.. now i dnt know where you lot stand on the slipknot front but like them or not joey jordison is an amasing drummer and it was insane... im not much of ametallica fan myself... i was but the new stuff just isnt metallica it lacks that something that the older stuff had... with the older music you could really get involved with it and feel the emotion and even if you wernt like that with the music you could appreciate it for the rhythm and style.... the newer stuff seems to sound abit commercial and less rhythmical, i think after they did "i disappear" standards started to drop. but watching them at download with joey jordison was amasing... they played some of the stuff i didnt like but i didnt care.. though i think they lost afew fans that night since they were an hour or so late out. alot of people were pissed off about that >>By spookygoth Pure showbiz.
