emm firstly i guess i should apologise for my last post, (the one with the cursing!), it seemed funny at the time but i guess it was just immature...I have been warned! Yeah the thing is now with metallica is that, as with most rock bands, it all went way downhill as soon as they stopped taking drugs/alcohol and started 'living healthy'. Call me selfish but I wish hetfield would just hit the JD again and write some good songs...

thats why ive always been metallica. they evolve, they create new music. we all change, we get better. sorry to say scouser but youre stupid to say those things. there is time for drugs and alocohol and there is time to move on.

Ride the Lightning is much better than any of the new stuff - why did Mustaine never get a second chance? I much prefer Megadeth to almost all Kirk Hammett songs, although I find it hard to believe Mustaine wasn't really behind Master of Puppets... Hammett is just so rubbish by comparison!

Listen up you fags metallica IS THE MOST OVERATED METAL BAND in history!!! You want a real metal band with real guitar talent and meaningful lyrics then the answer is MEGADETH!! Metallicas only half descent album in puppets which has like 2 good songs which were no doubt written by DAVE MUSTAINE!!! before he moved onto better things in life. You want real METAL!!! listen to 'RUST IN PEACE' and 'PEACE SELLS' albums by MEGADETH. They shit on anything metallica has ever and will ever produce. MEGADETH has done more for metal then metallica ever has or will. Anything that Metallica released after justice is a disgrace to metal in general and their fucking gay shit started all the gay nu metal garbage we have today. Metallica is a pop group nowadays. Never really had any talent that left with Dave and Cliff. Kirk Hammett is a clutz on guitar and is so so overated. Dave Mustaine is a genius as is Friedman, Poland etc. I mean come on get a fuckin life Metallica fags and listen to some real metal!!

Don't agree with your homophobia but apart from that you're dead on, although I think Hetfield's talent as a rhythm guitarist is under-rated... he may have made more money than Mustaine, but he could have achieved true greatness if he'd quit Metallica a long time ago - the real demon in Metallica is Lars Ulrich's evil money-grabbing mind

did anybody go to download festival 2004? The metallica gig there was amasing... not just because they were headlining a festival but lars got ill (im not saying that the good bit btw) no it was like a one in a life time gig.. lars was taken to hospital so joey jordison filled in for him.. now i dnt know where you lot stand on the slipknot front but like them or not joey jordison is an amasing drummer and it was insane... im not much of ametallica fan myself... i was but the new stuff just isnt metallica it lacks that something that the older stuff had... with the older music you could really get involved with it and feel the emotion and even if you wernt like that with the music you could appreciate it for the rhythm and style.... the newer stuff seems to sound abit commercial and less rhythmical, i think after they did "i disappear" standards started to drop. but watching them at download with joey jordison was amasing... they played some of the stuff i didnt like but i didnt care..
though i think they lost afew fans that night since they were an hour or so late out. alot of people were pissed off about that
