She's the best! Not only her music, but her voice-over roles. Faye Valentine, various and assorted Pokemon, Lina Inverse, Tin Nyanko, and especially Rei from Eva!!
The Slayers music is just so happy!

I think she is the best! Sheis the best voice actor and the best songwriter. I don't know what she can't do. She is the best in Japan, and I will spend every second talking or downloading things that she writes or stars in. I think I'm obsessed...

Megumi-Sama Rulz! ^_^ She's the best Japanese and tops the American singers too! I'll watch anything just to hear or see her, even if it's just one sentence!

Ok ladies & gentlemen and Megumi fans alike, I must admit that Megumi is the queen of japanese voice acting and her music blows almost anything the common american singer has to offer. If it wasn't for her I'd probably be still listening to rap and r&b now but for two years straight I've been listening to j-pop, to the bewilderment of a lot of rap listeners whom I've come in contact with. Some I've even converted into J-pap fans thanks to animes like Love Hina's (I get bact to Love hina later) and Slayers. Here's a tip people...If you're going to play japanese music for your friends to hear in an attempt to convert them then show them the anime asap! Especially with songs like Love Hina's Sakura Saku which I thought was one of Megumi's worst songs I've ever heard until I seen Love Hina. Not only did I reconise the op theme but I began to love it! Then once you've converted your friends and there familiar with the japanese style of music then you're free to play anything you wish. More often than not they'll like it.

Here are my gripes however about Megumi's music and her fans. Unless you're on drugs or something.. (and I need to watch myself because I said I hated Kujikenaikara to death and then look at what happened once I seen slayers) there is NO WAY IN HELL THAT SOMEONE COULD POSSIBABLY LOVE ALL OF MEGUMI'S SONGS. There's just no way. If you can listen to Shining Girl three times in a row then I'll be impressed and even more shocked komurasaki! And personallay even though she is the one who turned me into a j-pap and anime fan I consider the voices of singers like Yui Horie who's soft voive and Masami Okui who's strong powerful voice are both superior to that of Megumi's. I'm serious people. Yes Megumi has the better all around voice but for just singing even though there's quantity, the quality of her singing voice isn't the best. Don't get me wrong. When I hear a new hit that's song by her I go wild, hell she's is my first love so why shouldn't I, and yes I'd fly to Japan to hear one of her concerts (does anyone have concert info on her by the way?) But I can't say that I love everything she sings. Seriously I can't. Maybe shining girl, midnight blue that atrocious ranama parapa song and other bombs will begin to come around two years from now like Watashi ni Happy Birthday and Kujikenaikara did once I seen the anime but for now I can't like everything she sings especially if it's very slow! Only 80% of them. And that's very high folks! Anyway I'd like to give a shout out to the fans of my number one, two and three songs all time Fine Colorday #1, Breeze #2 (my first love) and Give A Reason #3! And please show no name songs like Deja Vu and Thirty some love! If you want me to review and rate you're Megumi song or any j-pop song in genaral than email it to me at youvefoundcam@hotmail.com. If your song ever made my top ten then I'll be sure to praise you to death!

Honestly, I love Megumi Hayashibara to death. I first heard her when I saw Slayers, and after that, I was hooked. I used to be an avid rap/r&b listener, and I still am, but I love most types of anime music; they just have a sense of class that American music lacks. She sounds excellent as Lina Inverse, young Genkai, even the blind little boy off of DBZ! Her songs are all beautiful. Forever Dreamer, Breeze, Kujikenai Kara; they are all so cool!

What could i say about Megu-chan... I LOVE HER!!! She has the most beautiful voice in the whole world. I mean, if you watch an ANIME series, featuring Megumi as seiyuu, is other story. Her songs are so great. The tones that she uses, just like a little girl (Isshoni-SABER MARIONETTE J TO X), or the psychodelic faster song Sakura Saku (LOVE HINA). SHE IS MY ONLY ONE!!!

Megumi Hayashibara may be my favorite seiyuu and J-POP singer, yet I have to admit there are some other people more qualified to sing. For example: Masami Okui has a stronger, more powerful voice. It's like comparing Britney Spears with Evanescence's Amy Lee! (Well, not really...I can't stand Britney Spears!) But, once I heard Okui speaking...well, I was thankful she wasn't a seiyuu. However, what I like so much about Hayashibara is that she can apply her voice-acting abilities to her singing. Although you can always recognize her voice, she does have many kinds of singing. Compare "Give a Reason" with "Sakura Saku". Even easier, listen to "Get Along"'s album version, listen to Lina's monologue and wait until Hayashibara starts singing. If you were a common person who knows nothing about Slayers, Hayashibara or even J-POP and you'd never realize until the 99th time you've heard the song that the baby-like voice speaking at the beggining and the grown singer's voice have a lot in common! Then again, even if she is my favorite J-POP singer and seiyuu, I have the courage to admit that some of her songs haven't been worth hearing. They just haven't grown on me. But, my fellow Hayashibara fans, I must state solemly that there is no such thing as a bad/stupid/not-worth-of-hearing/stinking song that belongs to the Slayers anime even if it's not a Hayashibara one!!! By the way, why do Japanese have such...yellow teeth? I've heard they smoke a lot, but there's got to be a limit on how much can someone smoke! Besides, I'm talking of every single Japanese (excluiding babies) smoking! Heh, and by the time Pearl Harbor was attacked, they considered Americans were all about vice! Well, that would be all...but my alter ego has something to say: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! MEGUMI-SAMA!!! GO MEGU! GO MEGU! GO MEGU!
