Bubblegum is certainly a great record, as is the ep he did just before it. I have been following him ever since sweet oblivion from the screaming trees, in my humble opinion one of the top 3 bands ever to come from the so called seatle scene. His voice is one in a million, so deep so brown, so lived. I went to see him live a few months ago, and even though the sound was bad and the lights sucked, he really stood there, and actually managed to bring all the songs with the same passion as he does on the album, maybe even more intense. So, yep I agree with you. It is ridicilous that all bs bands here have over 20 pages of I love I love I love postings and a really great artist like Mark Lanegan here has hardly noone saying anything about his superb latest album......

So, he's rocking again! Fair enough but I'd rather have "... holy ghost" any day

Holy ghost is truly a great record, but have you heard Bubblegum already? This is defenatly comparable to holy ghost in quality. More rockish maybe, but certainly a great record, to top with Whiskey for the Holy Ghost.....

What's so great about Mark Lanegan? I've seen/heared him twice with Queens Of The Stone Age and I just fucking HATE his voice...

Well actually his voice is what makes him great, next to his darker then live lyrics. Maybe you should check out his solo work to really get into his material. I would suggest to listen to Whiskey for the holy Ghost, before listening to Bubblegum, and you might understand why QOTSA aksed him to sing along with them in the first place. Or just check out his old band, the screaming trees. Will surely give you another idea of his great voice. And besides that, my girlfriend and a friend of us tell me he is sexy, that must count for something too...-:D

Hello, I got the Bubblegum album just recently and 'Hit the city' is the killer track, Polly Harvey is on it with great vocals as well, it is a refreshing album to listen to. Alright now, start blowin' bubbles :-)
