I live in Botswana, just boardering South Africa, and I last watched Lucky Dube on a show last year around October, and I must tell you the show was unbelievably electric. Since I lost my membership card three years back in accident I had experienced extreme difficulties trying to secure another membership. This year I have managed to be connected online and my wish is to be able to secure instant access to the Lucky and the fan club, please assist me with all details I need .

One of the most consistent, prolific Reggae musicians of our time, Lucky Dube is no doubt a gift from God to many. As a Ghanaian, I first learned of Lucky Dube while I was in secondary school form three, back in 1989/90. I immediately decided to explore the music of this gentleman, and man, I'm not disappointed at all. I have been keenly following his releases for over a decade now and each release comes with a more reason why i should adore Lucky!! His music is inspiring, racially uniting and his amazing way of telling stories in music is simply astounding. I'm only looking forward to meeting this gentleman. As a Reggae writer/ singer myself, I hope to find money and release my debut album soon. Until then, Lucky, please keep on inspiring me!

NB. Please, when is the next album coming? Dying tohear it!!.

Lucky Dube has dispensed to the globe the captivating, but factual verbal realities of Africa, her plight, beauty and spendeur, among other things doesn't go untouched. He has even, by a pluck of a string proposed remedies to the harmful things that affect the continent. Listen to , House of Exile, Prisoner, Remember Me and you'll believe me. He particularly denounces the vice of corruption inflicted to the poor and proclaims reconcilliation, a child brain to the line " Together as One".
I love Lucky Dube.

Hii.. mi name is Mack Nesta Changau.I come from de South West Pacific Region in a country called Papua New Guinea.
In 1995 Lucky Dube toured my country. To be honest Lucky Dube is great mahn of reggae music. The concert was a very peaceful one, and it also got people from all parts of the country together to see him perform
When it came to de number " REMEMBER ME" he really made his followers cry. Instead of him singing "in the streets of Soweto", he sang "in the streets of Papua New Guinea".Everybody dance side by side with Lucky..even me I was really doing it.
He is a very excelent conductor on stage...I really love to see him dancin' on stage in his Millitary uniform....well Iam a great fan of Lucky Dube....I wish he will come again for one off concert in my country again....how knows "Only Jah knows"....Dube is a mahn of the heart, agret messenger. All his songs are based entirely on LIFE, day to day life and happenings, also situations in life which brings everything back to LOVE,PEACE and HARMONY.

Thanks and Praise to the Most High JahRastafari for dis a great mahn.

"REGGAE IS MINE"
My favourite number from Dube is "TOGETHER AS ONE".
I rootsmahn...Manesta "Forever Lovin Jah"

Let's face it, Lucky Dube is in deed one of a kind. I love Mr. Dube's artistic skills that is punctuated with keen foresight and insight. His music is beyond entertainment. His work is intellectualy composed that litrature skills are grooved seamlessly in each song he sings. He has proverbs and/or sayings in every song. If lyrics are not applicable to you, the sayings will get you.The music that tells you along story in a very pricise way is his style. The music that teaches in various dimension. His artistic is not only a gift from God, but also a thing of beauty. I'm happy for him and I'm glad he found something he likes to do in life and decided to take it to the highest level possible. I alway feel music passion when I listen to his music not to mention hearing the lyrics in my mind's ears when I'm in a situation. His insight can be seen when he sang, "I see the future so bright" "we'll forgive and forget", when a whitie man com'in together na' blackie man. Who could have envisioned that type of S. Africa. But,so it happened. The first black government of S. Africa even set a reconciliation comission to bring S. Africans together. Could it be that Mr. Dube was foretelling us of the present S.Africa. Another noteworthy thing I like about Mr. Dube is the manner that he incoperates different human aspects in to his music. In a way, he is not single minded musician. He sings from love to politics. It is unfortunate, a lot of musician are out there to mislead and brainwash listeners to make money, but I hope listeners one day can to their sence. Anyway, that is the way it is.

Fellow funs.
Peace.

What more can be said about lucky that has not been observed by people that has a keen observation of good character. This Reggae man has been an inspiration to me since primary school days...i can remember most distinctly the first song i heard of his...(together as one) and to besides it was a live show...what struck me mostly was his words about not knowing what colour god is because he does not have a colour and that we are his children that's why we have to live together as one and tonight we are burying apartheid 69ft and we are putting up a very big rock to ensure it's annhilation. He came to Greanda sfor the Jazz festival...man i tell you this fellow goe energy like he was glucose himself..2 1/2 hours non stop.My friends tell me that am obsessed with dube i tell them yep, i am but in a good way...he gives you food for thought. As he said..not every black man is a brother and not every white man is an enemy...what morr can be better said about this man from Emelo who risked being shot by the government just bring accross a point for humanity..that all is one and stop blaming otheres for your own wrong doings. Lucky is the best thing that has happened to Reggae music in that he is not a partial artist...he speaks for all so at the end of the day you would not be able to say that he was bias...LET SLEEPING DOGS LIE...let's not go back to the past..it will make you PASTARISTIC...let's talk about the future..It will make you FUTURISTIC...i love lucky you know why? different colours ..one people.

Hi fellow fans, I have already posted a message. But after reading what my other fellow fans testified about this gentleman-- I always refer to him as a gentleman because, indeed he IS! His demeanor is all evident in his lyrical and instrumental composition-- I can't but just say 'Lucky, keep da fire burning'.

Back in 1996, Lucky Dube was in Ghana to launch TAX MAN! As part of his itinerary, he was to 'interact' with his fans. How he underestimated the number of his fans!!! He was shocked to the brim. What went on later is for you to guess.

Lucky, this is YOUR game,
Play it your way!

Jah guide fe I va!!

How long can you carry that burden on your shoulders, yea
How long shall those tears keep running down your beautiful face.....Feel Irie!!

I'm ready to be happy,
I've been down too long
It's time to get above it all.....

I play your game
very time we play, you come out the winner..
Now I've learned how to play this game
And I will never lose again!!.....These crying games we play...your turn to cry

They say the winner takes it all
but in my case the winner didnt take the pain..
In my case the winner didn;t take the hurt....

May I go on?.....Let The Band Play ON!!!!

Respec, ya all!!

From Ghana.

I can't believe that there is a site like this. The first time I hear lucky dube's music was around 1993 am not quiet sure but I remember the song was prisoner and that was the begining of my love for lucky. I went on to search for songs of Lucky in many places though I was a little boy to the extent I attended lucky's x'mas jam here in Accra sports stadium in 1999 without any body's company.I once told my mother that I would to play with lucky and his band one day.I also told her I wish Lucky would live forever cos I cannot Imagine to hear one day that lucky is dead instead I wish I could die for him to live forever.LUCKY DUBE,MY LOVE FOR YOU WOULD NEVER DIE
JAH BLESS

I just feel lifted when I listen to your songs, I like all of them each and every one. I know them by heart too cause I really like you texts. Inspirational for todays youth if only they would listen. The only album I don't have is the one you have made yet which I'm impatiently waiting for. You music has changed my life in so many ways, it helps me to understand the world we're living. That song (Love me the way I'm) is one of a kind and the Fugitive! I only hope that our politicians here would listen to them.

Keep up the good Work and know that God is with you and your Band!!!!

Lucky Dube is definetly a great influence on to those who listens to his music or have heard his songs before because his lyrics could relate to peoples lives and also send advices to those who need it.He performed in Hawaii last year which was 2002 and it was the best concert i have been to, the way he pumps up the crowd you feel his vibes and energy and it just makes you feel his music. He is my favorite reggae artist besides Bob Marley but he is one that I will always remember and I'll make sure my Kids will know who he is. His words are just amazing and i'm glad i got to attend his concert and got to know who he is.He's comming down this year and performing and again and i'm excited already.....so lucky to have him here in Hawaii. My favorite line from his one of his songs is "love all your friends, but never trust anyone of them".....okay god bless you all and may lucky's music continue on.

Much Loves and Alohas,

The 808 state
