Yeah... Kyuss is the law of Rock, engraved in the stone... and in my heart too, to every fucking moment of my life, happy or sad... Listen to them, you will understand.

Kyuss turned music into something which did more then make you want to headbang to, they created a sound which is all there own and no other band has been able to come close to it. I don't know the songs by name becasue you can't listen to a kyuss song, you have to listen to the whole album

Actually Cozza,
Kyuss were in Australia.....
Saw them in 1991/92 maybe when they played with Metallica at the Rod Laver Arena

KYUSS---never has there been a more under-hailed band, a band so IMPOSSIBLE to tire of, or a band so difficult to get your cheesedick aquaintences to appreciate!!!! While it would be hard to assign any band the title "greatest ever" I will say this: there is no one better. I feel in time that Kyuss will have widespread respect and all the inferiorites who have said they're no good will never admit ever thinking such a stupid thing. Kyuss never designed a song just to "hook" the radio listening moron in the first five seconds--they made music for smart people by smart people and I thank (deity here) for their brief existence. Kyuss---reunite please for ONE tour! I'll fly out (and I hate flying) for every show . Queens of The SA is good but after Kyuss there can be no Satisfaction---okay I'll say it--KYUSS THE GREATEST EVER!!!!

FANS OF KYUSS: AN ELITE GROUP A friend of mine (a fellow MENSA member) introduced me to Kyuss back in 1994 when I was 18. He knew me quite well and one day gave me "Blues for the red Sun" to take home and listen to. I must confess that I was not all that Impressed at first listen but later after the CD was out of my possession certain little nuances of the music would surface in my subconscious as I drifted off to sleep or stared off into space. Soon I had my own copy and was listening to Kyuss every free moment I had, and extolling the virtues of this great band to anyone and everyone I had contact with, although most, sadly, failed to grasp the full magnatude of what they were so lucky to behold. Then an old friend of mine from the High School gifted student program came to visit , I played Kyuss, and he was instantly smitten. I have found in my ten years of tireless Kyuss promoting that those who sport a genious IQ are far more likey to see Kyuss for the dynamo thet it was. It's undeniable. Every circle I have run in, the top 5% are always the ones who appreciate KYUSS, and they all soon become as passionate as me.

Never heard a band since that could produce such a f-kin loud NOISE!! First heard the awesome SKY VALLEY about 10yrs ago (?) and thought at that time that there must be other bands around that were doing the same. Sadly not. Kyuss, you were on yer own! QOTSA carrying on the tradition but RIP Kyuss. Sky Valley #1 album of all time!

Kyuss are one of those bands that i regret not hearing sooner in my life. It's only been in the past three or four years that i became aware they even existed. I think that Josh Homme is the best guitar player i have ever heard and that he definitely writes the best and heaviest riffs ever known to man. Jon Garcia is probably my favorite vocalist aswell. They never got the respect that they deserved and i think that a few years dopwn the road they will be recognized as one of the greatest and most important bands of all time!

>>By Belbin   (Tuesday, 25 Mar 2003 19:49)

I discovered Kyuss because of a seller... I had asked him about tool, (my favorite band) and he adviced me to listen to Kyuss... which I falled in love with! But I don't know why they split... Can anybody light this things up to me? thank you
So I adore kyuss, and I think that they widely inspired TOOL. Last night I dreamt I was going to a Kyuss' show ;(((( SO sad that this will stay a dream....
Enjoy listening to Kyuss, and don't forget tool ! :)
[PS: Im french so excuse me for the mistakes!!!]

it's nice to see people who really apprieciate one of the best bands ever. The best thing about kyuss is that you need to know alot about music to actually know who they are.
RIP

>>By Happyrobot24   (Saturday, 26 Apr 2003 07:41)

Oh and why they split...

Josh sick of playing music etc. so stopped playing for a couple of years, made Desert Sessions vol1, toured with Screaming Trees and eventually formed what is the best Rock gig today QOTSA
