| Discussion: Kurt Cobain can any of you tell me how tall(high, big) was kurt cobain? i prefer centimetres to inches and feets, which trully i don't understand, because i come from the part of the world where inches and feets are not using. i saw many of nirvana video clips and i think curt was about 175 cm tall... if somebody have precisious information it would be so kind to tell me :) thanx a lot >>By sila well kurt was 5"7' that exactly 1.70 cm >>By kurt cobain was actually.. yup thats true shorty motha fucka haha >>By nirvafan dave grohl is 6''0' so kurt lol pretty short and with the dam bassist thats like 6''4 lol >>By well Hmm i kinda have a hard time imaging Kurt as being such a little man... He was great, it dont matter how tall he was....... >>By Nevermind hi, I have a few comments that are on a different subject than his height. I posted this on the Nirvana chat too... Some people either think that Courtney Love killed Kurt or they just hate Courtney in general. Well, I think that if you believe Courtney killed him, that is just crazy because his music reflects how much he loathed himself and being alive. Just look at You Know You're Right, the last song he ever recorded. His parents' divorce when he was 7 really messed him up permanently. I don't think it was Courtney's fault, because it was truly fame and heroin (a habit that Courtney tried to get him to stop, especially in the year before his death) that overwhelmed him so greatly he gave up. And for those of you who don't know, the week before he killed himself, he tried to OD in Rome, and Courtney found a suicide note in his hand. It's proven in surveys that most people who survive an attempted suicide are glad that they did, but obviously Kurt reallllllly wanted to do it, and do it right this time. Courtney herself was in rehab when they found Kurt's body, so she wasn't really free to do the crime. The police didn't ever suspect that it was anything but suicide. Plus, if you have seen the grotesque photo of him online after he shot himself... wow his head is GONE. That could not happen unless it was at such a close range that he did it himself. So why did I like Courtney Love then, but not now? Well, then she was truly in love with Kurt, you can tell that in any picture you see of them together. From his suicide note, and other stuff you can find in his journals (a very good book - I would highly suggest reading it), you can tell he loved her and admired her very much. Also, she quit heroin for all of the months of her pregnancy so that Frances would be healthy. We're talking major withdrawal on top of pregnancy pains. After Kurt died, she was very confused. At the big memorial service they had for the fans, she said something like, "I dont know what I did wrong," obviously blaming herself for his death. To top it off, in his suicide note, Kurt told Courtney that she had to go on for Frances, which was kind of selfish, since HE didn't go on for Frances. With all the pressures and devestation in her life, Courtney got into heavy drug use again. I can't blame her that much, but right now she's facing drug charges that could potentially take Frances out of her custody, and that would be awful.
