I would have left it to the one comment I gave, were it not that some guy started going around and attacking what I said. This gave me a -quite good- reason to post another time. Then this same guy still didn't understand, and next to that found it interesting not only to not understand me, but also to insult me. This again gave me a reason to reply.
And then this guy starts about a period in America in which being different was almost considered a crime, and discussion or questioning this perfect place was at least not appreciated and could even lead you to jail, meaning to shut my mouth or just kick me out of his little paradise.
Let me tell you this: When you hate controverse soo much, why the hell do you listen to what is considered rebellic music?
PLease go censor someone else! I am known for not doing what I am ordered, and also for you I won't jump in to position and shout Amen with the masses.
Anyway, a band with a story like Kittie would have never been allowed in the refered to 60ties.
Maybe that is the only positive thing I can say about Kittie. That they are not this 60ties girls just making themselves ready to be kitchen slaves.......

Not dangerous to someone who lives in America with the protection of the flag. Such nationalism is only dangerous if you're anti-American... By the time anybody's strong enough to mess with America and kill off patriots (remember that the attack on September 11th 2001 [annoyingly, that date is burned into everyone's minds - who remembers the exact date of Hiroshima? Just because Americans suffered, we have to remember the date and it gets called "Patriot Day"] was aimed at ordinary Americans rather than people like therion who believe that the US of A is better than anything), people like therion will probably have sitched their allegiances to the next big thing anyway. It's culturally acceptable to love America and its ideals, but not to say "I love Iraq" or wherever, even if it is the country you were born in and you feel it has a lot to be proud of. As for Kittie, they're alright. I can't see why they should take that American attitude though. If people want to diss them, that's okay because this is a discussion board, not a temple for people to worship Kittie.

I dun really like Kittie, I dislike the sound women voices make when trying to sing death metal. No offence to any women out there, I just find it very annoying and not at all near the roughness of many bands. As for the music, i've heard beter quality and the lyrics are kinda half assed. Anyways, I give props to them for being pioneers, and hope they succeed.
Kideny Thieves is a good band, although they aren't death metal (they are industrial metal) and they aren't an all girl band, the lead singer is female and she does a good job,

I respect your opinion of female metal, it just doesn't suit me. It may sound sexist, but I can't help what sounds good to me. I just find I prefer male voices over females. This doesn't mean that they are bad, it just means I dislike the sound. I also dislike the guitar playing, I don't know why... it just sounds weird to me. Anyways, my opinion, dun pay much attention to it.

I think the whole sexist thing is bs, it is up there with hate crimes. Why be charged with a hate crime for killing somebody of another race? Shouldn't the person be charged with what they did? Murder. Anyways, sexism is just another thing to hold over people's heads. I don't discriminate female-fronted bands, I love Kidney Thieves, I just dislike it in death metal. It sounds funny to me, I have no clue how it can sound sexist to anybody. Stop being 100% politically correct. Go out and say something that others find rude, geez... are we call 60 year old rich women?

Discrimination is the mistreatment of others souly based on their appearance or creed. Sexism is a branch of discrimination, as in... I would discriminate against women, simply because they are women. Hence, sexism is discrimination. And I have never said anything rude, I simply spoke my mind. If my opinion comes off as rude, then so be it. I won't keep it to myself, simply because others disagree. As for intelligence... you started the personal insults, that doesn't sound like something a mature... intelligent person would do. You attacked me personally, instead of my comment. I don't wish to fight you, I am merely writing this to defend myself. I will make no personal attack on you, I will simply respond to your attacks in the way I feel neccessary. I hope we can work through this in a mature fashion. I am willing to drop your insults upon me, if you are willing to drop any comment I have made to offend you or anyone you know. That was neither discrimination nor sexist, maybe shortsighted. But no where did I read that disliked it because women were weaker or less then men, he dislikes the sound. The moment when I don't like a female group because I don't like their music, this is nothing to do with them being female, this is because they do something I don't like.
It is shortsighted to say all metal female singer suck, for it is not true (listen to fear of God), but it as shortsighted to say that this is sexist.
Beside Therion, it is not proper to fence with education in a discussion. This won't prove you right and in my eyes will only prove you to be stupid. I have to university degrees, but I won't use them against you. when I disagree I will use my words to prove you wrong, not my background............
