I discovered him through a link on Jack Johnson's site and have been hooked ever since. "Honey and the Moon" is perfect. Good stuff.

The first time I listen to Joseph's music, he was on stage in the Exo7 in Rouen, France the last November the 27th 2002. A good friend of mine asked me to come to a good gig... I think I'll never forget the shock I felt by discovering Joseph's Art. It realy was a great performance on stage. I'm writing this comment listening to the new E.S.T record. This is called "Strange place for snow". I think if you love Joseph's music you should like it.

First time I heard him was thru the video of In the sun. I was watching that guy walking with wings on his back, he looked dark, but bright at the same time. I loved him verry much. I find his words deep, and his music simply amasing, but overall.... I love his voice. It reached me deep, it takes me to a place I've been before. Where sadness rules over the self. Thru his music, I can go to that place inside of me, and come back to the reality i'm living now. Joseph, I'm trully happy that you do what you do.

Joe grew up in Ohio and knocked around at some lowly places as a high school student. But our Crew always knew he would be a success. He was destined for big things. Not your typical teenager. Many excellent conversations with us about his future. Saw him on "Carson Daly" last night and couldn't believe it was our Joe. Too bad Cleveland didn't notice our boy did well for himself in the big city. As a bass player, he took the band from an average blues band to another dimension. We're checking the archives to see if we have any old recordings of those days. It was surreal. Lots of luck, Joe.

This mans music is so soothing to the soul, and his lyrics blow me away
He is one of those rare artists that gets better and better with every album he brings out.
I had the pleasure of seeing him live in January this year in Seattle, and he was even better live than on album, which is hard to believe, because his albums are all soooo good!!!
Not to mention he is 6ft 5" tall and just a hunk of burning love!

I heard him on NPR. Redemption's Son was better than average to begin with, but all it does is grow on me and I find myself having to listen to it more and more often. I love the soundscapes he paints.

What can I say, "Honey in the Moon," affirmed and summed up my last relationship so eloquently and delicately. I first heard the song when it began just as my alarm went off. Thank you for your heartfelt poetry. Everytime I hear this song I realize how fortunate I was to have experienced this level of love even if it had to end so suddenly.

Your music invokes healing because it reaches to places some people never dare to go. Experiencing love is worth the risk and somehow we always make it through the painful parts. "Honey in the Moon" was a part of this release and healing for me and several friends who have experienced a recent loss of a significant love relationship.

I can't thank you enough! Keep on living and writing your experiences, it is such a gift. We all benefit and are forever grateful.

I caught Joseph on David Letterman singing "Honey & The Moon" and was blown away by hs performance. I like the version on the album, but this solo acoustic version was just unbelievable.

Does anyone know where I can find a recording of this version? I've tried on Acquisition to no avail.

Thanks!
PEACE!

I didn't know who he was till a day, when I saw the movie HELL'S KITCHEN NYC where he wrote the soundtrack.

Does anyone know if the soundtrack or the alternative version of the songs played in the movie are available? I am REALLY interested but they seem impossible to find!
I am going to his concer in Belgium in December.......can't see!

i went to the R.E.M. concert on Nov 12 2004 and Joseph Arthur was the opening act. I had never heard of him prior to that day, and had planned on going out with my friend to smoke joints while he was on because i had figured since i had never heard of him he couldnt be that good... Boy, was i wrong. We found our seats and he was already 5 min into his time on. I was simply blown away. I was very glad we had wicked seats, he wasnt 15 feet from me. It was just him on stage, with his guitar, and some equipment. He was recording himself as he was playing and then playing what was recorded back and playing with it, and harmonizing with himself. I was spellbound in my chair, and i told my friend we werent going anywhere. He is a true artist. I was more impressed by his performance then with that of R.E.M. (and i have loved R.E.M. for a LONG time)
I dont know any one the names of the songs that he sang, but they were all beautiful, and his voice so rich you not only heard it, you felt it. Absolutely amazing, i cant say enough about him. i would pay alot to see him if i ever heard of him coming back on his own, for a more lengthy performance. You keep on rocking Joseph.
