The best male vocalist ever! He never fails with romantic or holiday music. Finally the NARAS (Grammy Awards) have decided to honor him with a Lifetime Achievement Award at next year's Grammy Awards in February 2003. NARAS is long overdue. I am a Mathis fan forever!!!!

You know, Johnny Mathis has been around for many years. Its amazing how many major artists have been influenced by him. People such as Streisand, Al Jarraue, Tony Bennett, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Englebert, Jane Oliver, and many many more. He has a unique vocal range and the best breath control in the business. His live performances are an event and his recording sales worldwide have put him in the top 7 artists , with recording sales of about 180 million. Ive travelled to many countrys and I think Ive heard Johnny Mathis music in the background or availiable in most of them. In his early days as a star he was the biggest most saught after performer in the world. Mathis being himself has taken his popularity in his stride and shun the public limelight .
He in my opinion is the most beautiful singer ever with a wide range of musical recordings.
I never tire of his voice and to watch and hear him live on TV or in person is fantastically satisfying. He can do no wrong in my book.
Iam glad to hear he is to recieve a Grammy for his lifetime achievement ,something which a very few of the worlds stars will ever achieve or even be around as long.
I salute you Johnny Mathis........the best singer of all time, of the modern day poular song........

I see John every 6 months in Atlantic City, and sometimes venture to Boston and Florida to catch his show. He is absolutely the best performer of all time. When he walks on that stage, the magic begins.

It is an understatement to say the award is overdue and well deserved.

Congratulations John.....keep performing....we ALL love you!

His voice is wonderful, very sweet and my soul feels happy when I hear his beautiful songs. He is the best.
I would like to know if he really received the Grammy because he didnot appear at the ceremony. Please answer me.

When I feel blue and so lonely I could cry, Johnny Mathis' songs help me go through the night. His voice is one of the marvels of Nature. Thanks Mr Mathis for being what you are.

From the tender age of 14 years old when I first heard Johnny singing Chances Are, I fell in love with his velvet voice and today at the age of 61, his voice still touches my heart, to me he is the greatest singer of romantic ballards and will always be my favourite. I have had the opportunity to see him only twice in Concert in the UK and he was even better live. Thanky you Johnny for giving me so much pleasure over the years. God bless.

Johnny Mathis has been the love of MY life, too, Ginny, since the age of 13. My mother introduced me to his music by giving me his album "MORE JOHNNY'S GREATEST HITS" for my 13th birthday. This summer I will celebrate OUR 45th "anniversary" by attending Johnny's concert both nights (July 22-23, 2005) - my birthday is the 23rd - at the Westbury Music Fair's North Fork Theatre in New York.

I named my first daughter after Johnny's songs MELINDA and JENNY (Melinda Jeanette). Authored 3 Johnny Mathis website. MATHIS MAGIC PLACE, MATHIS MAGIC PLACE CHATROOM, MATHIS MAGIC "HEAVENLY" PLACE (the last still in construction)

Eddie, did you have any luck in getting the telephone number and/or address for Johnny's company---ROJON Productions????:D
