katie, i know you. i want you! and you have always dreamed about me too.

Hi Katie,

You can also search for Joe Dassin, Julien Clerc and Francis Cabrel. It will be easier for you to understand the words and will become a good phonetic lesson. It will help you a lot with the prononciation.

Bye, Bye, Andreea

my french teacher told us about Johnny Hallyday because she absolutely despises him. i don't know what to think yet, i haven't heard him.

>>By Jess

or maybe i'm wrong... seeing as his e-mail provider is french, and obviously a french person would know more about it than me.

Johnny makes the best French rock that has ever been sung! He started in the 60's and is still in sold out concert tours in 2003! He turned 60 years old last year but doesn't look it or sound it. I recommend his music highly to anyone who likes rock'n'roll or is interested in learning French. His pronounciation is very clear and the words are easy to understand.

johnny is real good french rocker, juste hear 'quoi ma gueule', 'les portes du pénitentier(house of rising sun), and many many moor but if you want know another good french roocker, juste listen éric Lapointe from Québec

Johnny Halliday is Belgian by his father and French by his mother.
Johnny Halliday is called Jean Philipe Smet (He was born in June, 1943), he was abandoned by his father and raised by his aunt and her uncle ( Halliday). He is 43 years old of career. he collects 1 million persons in the free concerts (100% Live a La Tour Eiffel 06/2000).
Do you know Serge Gainsbourg?

I saw Johnny Halliday in the movie, 'Man on a Train' (in French with English subtitles) and absolutely loved it, and him, and went back to see it again. The 'New York Times International' of June 16, 2003 ran a 'Paris Journal' article on Johnny. Tons of info on his singing career for those of you who are looking for stuff in English. Enjoy!

Johnny is truly the king. He has taught me everything that I know. Growing up, he was my inspiration. Without him I never would have achieved the degree of depth in my music that I feel I have. Hats off to you Johnny!!! A duet at the stade de France hopefully!!!!

>>By Bruce Springsteen, NJ

hey, that's right -that WAS johnny halliday in 'l'homme du train'. Wow, and he didn't embarrass himself or anything like that. IN fact, when I think about it, he wasn't half decent.... a real renaissance man, it seems.

Anyway, if Johnny is the king ( and mind you, I'm not admitting he is ) the David Halliday is managing his duties as crown prince with considerable succes - 'un homme libre' et 'le manque a donner', while not quite measuring up to his dad's, are good listening and definitely justify buying his cd.

and also Pascal obispo, Patrick Fiori, Garou, and all the cast of 'notre dame de paris' rock!

Dear Johnny fans,

How many of you truly understand the man and his music. If you have ever seen him in concert, you know he rivals any performance in the Anglo world. The performances are energetic and spectacular.

The young performers of today have no sense of "elan" or "joie de vivre" compared to Johnny. The light show, the stage presence and the sheer animal magnetism that Johnny possesses, along with those incredible blue eyes, during his concerts makes both men and women tremble with ecstasy.

By the way, Johnny is 60 years old and his wife is younger than his son, David
Si vous avez des questions n'hesitez pas a les poser. J'ai vecue en France pendant dix ans et peut etre je pourrais vous reseigner.
