I, personally, have only heard a few of hers songs and from what I've heard I'd have to say I think she has some real talent. I'm more a death-metal type girl; BUT, I can admit that she has talent. Thumbs up for her.

Thanks for weighing on this ridiculousness, Jewel. In Jewel's defense I'd like to say a few things... First of all, I recently saw Jewel in concert. Because of the death of her Bass player, it was an acoustic concert. Jewel played/ sang for almost two hours, and was wonderful. It proved to be one of the best concerts I've ever had the pleasure of attending. She has in no way forsaken "who she is" or "her old music." She was quintessential Jewel. This, however, leads me to point two - Jewel is an artist. Artists who don't allow themselves to diversify become stagnant. "Life is change. Death is dwelling on the past or staying in one place too long." This is true for all of us. We are all trying new things continually. Is Jewel not allowed the same right, simply because she is in the public eye? Just because she does something new, doesn't mean she's "selling out." It's narrow-minded to think so. To all of you who are worried that she has "sold out," it's just not true. She's having fun... exploring new things. Don't we all enjoy the same freedom? Loosen up. Live and let live. Jewel is an incredible artist. It's a shame to try to keep such a gift in a box, just because you've become comfortable with it being contained.

ummm. just to let u all no jewel isnt becoming a sell out,she's still the angel she was before!she's all about love nd piece,but a new voice is calling out from her songs now."harmony"intuition say "follow your heart" meaning she wants people to follow there dreams,nd "in a world of post modern fad,what was good now is bad"is saying fads come and go and she wont be a part of that, and if she wanted to join the "industry" she can make her own! if u read her lyrics and here her calling u will see what i mean !!! so take all tose thyngs back!!
