His newest album is a step backwards from stillmatic. He is a good rapper but he is not as consistent or creative lyrically when compared to Jay. Now, to put things into perspective for all of those dumb ass people who fail to come to terms with the FACT that Jay-z is the best consider the number of albums Jay-Z has. Jay has 3X as much material as Nas and if you listen to all of it, his style does change at every approaching 16 bars. His content is always socially relevent and Jay;s passion for the game is felt in every track. I have never listened to a song on which Jay was featured and came away thinking that his verse was weak. Jay doesn't make weak verses unlike the rest of the mc's in the game. Jay- z is able to appeal to all music listners, this is why he sells so many records. His creative ability along with the hardest beats in the came aloow Jay-z to make music for every ear,whether you like watered down poppy club music, music you can floss to,or straight gangsta shit Jay has it all. Nas on the other hand doesn't do as well with the mainstream joints and that is because that is unfamiliar territory for him. Nas should stick to his guns but he ventures into the mainstream sector only to find dissappointment. Also Nas is with murder inc. and we all know that is some hoe shit so we need not adress that. Jay's click is the most gangsta in the industry.
