Discussion: Hazeldine

I first saw Hazeldine in Gainsville Florida, at the Covered Dish--I was so impressed by the comradship and friendliness coming off the stage! The songs were moody, romantic, and beautiful, and I was hooked. The band has changed alot since then, they are still good, but their darker, more moody rock has given way to a more Lillith Fair sort of sound. i still recommend Hazeldine, but the first 3 records seem to capture the band at a time at which they were truly a creative force to be reckoned with.

they were in santa fe last night, i'd been hearing them on the radio alot, but they are not as good live, as they are on cd, I think it was better to hear them than to see them.

How can I get a hold of their earlier stuff? Hazeldine's website hasn't been updated for a couple of years. Their is a NJ mailing address to send a check or money order to for cds, but that feels a bit dubious.

Are they still going? Outdated websites, new vacuum - anybody know anything?

Sorry - can't type - meant to say "news" vacuum.

I'm concerned about the girls, too! Finally, their 4th CD gets a decent released, and the group seems to have dissappeared. Tonight, their official website won't even come up; outdated though it was.
Are there dates attached to the other messages on this list anywhere? Does the message that reads, "they just have been played in alburquerque, nm in late december," refer to 2002? (or 1998?!!)
I hope they still live on. Life sucks in that no one I know has heard of "Hazeldine," but a mess like Metalica is famous and rich.
Hazeldine, if you're listening, you affected lives. Don't go away!
