Half Man Half Biscuit

even though i'm from canada, and don't get half the references, i still think hmhb are the most brilliant bands around, lyrically, musically and any other goddamn thing. it' s a shame none of the record shops over here seem to carry any hmhb stuff. i've got to order it all over the bloody internet, and since no one in their right mind would give me a credit card, it makes it very difficult. anyway, it's probably just as well. the retards up here wouldn't get it anyway.

wherever and whenever i roam HMHB always give me a good laugh, the only problem is that its hard to take any music seriously at all once ive had a HMHB session

It may be funny, but HMHB's oeuvre also pays tribute to some of the finest aspects of our popular culture and lacerates much that is trivial, pretentious and generally up itself in British life. Its hard, I know, but when you stop laughing, think about how samey and dull the content of everyone else's songs is by comparison - love and the lack of it basically. For those of you outside these Isles, HMHB provide a crash course to what Britain is really like. Its not Liz Hurley, Liam Gallagher, Tony Blair and the bloody royal family, its 24 hour Garage People, Bob Wilson, Lenny Henry and the long dark night of Thatcherism. And one more thing. Who the fucking hell are Slipknot, in relation to me getting out of bed?

They're also more knowledgeable on the 70's than anyone...even God. Best Band since The Smiths.
