I would rather there was a band like greenday than not at all, at least that way there is somewhat of a balance. greenday and him are probably as popular as each other, the difference being greenday are american and get airplay so everyone knows who they are. Meh it's their music I'm interested in not the fact that the sell millions of records or have apperently sold out. I've always been a fan G.D. in personally I don't think A.I. is much different from their other stuff. Yeah maybe they don't have the musical substance as a lot of other bands but that's not what there about. They write catchy poppy melodies (cue the hardcore g.d fans ranting about greenday not being pop) whatever, I like thier music, it sticks in your head, you can sing along to it. I'm not a hardcore fan - I don't own any of their albums and I don't particularly think any of their old stuff is amazing... I just think American Idiot is a lot worse and was written for the purpose of selling out! Sure, I don't care if an album sells millions - I enjoy Michael Jackson, Queen, other massive sellers...
