Discussion: Grant Lee Buffalo I have played with Grant-Lee Phillips before on stage behind a drum-kit in this small Irish bar in LA called Largo. He is without a doubt the most brutally underated singer-songwriting genius of his generation. Makes Badly Drawn Boy's songwriting ability look Badly Drawn. The Ultimate character and a true star. A marvellous band that intertwines country folk with hard grunge style rock. Hints of classical influences in later album Copperopolis. Nicky Wire (Manic Street Preachers) hates this band. That should be enough for you to know they are worthy. After all GLB have a bass player who can play.
