Yeah, their last album is a lot darker. I kind of like it better than their other albums although it was kind of a lame idea for them to release their last album as two separate CD's with different artwork and last songs.

i think da second album of GC is da best one.coz i think it rox hard than da 1st & 3rd.
i can't find the feeling in their last album which they gave me in da young and hopeless~~

the first CD, with Little Things and those songs, that's the best album they've ever done. honestly. But I barely listen to them now-a-days. I'm more into heavier stuff. and they can't do that kind of music

what happened with gc was like th bsb they were good at first because it was innovative and good but then it all just sounded the same soon the same thing will happen to LP

How were they innovative? They sound the same as any other band around, except usually much worse guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. They always sounded the same, that isn't recent. The same thing's already happened to Linkin Park, except they were actually innovative, at first, with their Japanese flutes and heavy guitar, but it's all the same now...

It must be the makeup, because they have no talent worthy of their success. Yes, I did mean Backstreet Boys, because <zaku Elick> said that Bsb had been good and innovative. How? No one knows.
Also, Bsb has pretended to play guitars, in their music video for their new song, they pretend to be really hardcore rockers although they're playing a soft poppy tune, and they only have female fans. It's obvious they're fooling around, but I wonder if they really want to be rockers but just aren't capable of doing it and instead decide to make fun of rock. It really bugs me.
Josh... You think Linkin Park will get better? They were only good when they were innovative and people hadn't noticed that everyone of their songs are the same. Unless they get a little more creative, and I doubt they will, they're going downhill from here, though they're already at the bottom.

I really don't like the way Linkin Park, Good Charlotte and the Backstreet Boys have been lumped together like this just because they're all popular bands...
Firstly, I believe Bsb have at least 90% female fans, coz it's mainly girls (not being sexist here - if you disagree with me I'll explain my point) who listen to pop bands for years without getting bored of them and after this long, any guys who originally liked them have got bored and started listening to something else
Good Charlotte have a bunch of stupid fans who don't appreciate that what they're doing is not the least bit innovative and is just as bad as Bsb except even more pretentious
Linkin Park have actually done something original, with the downside that having established that formula, they won't break free from it and just keep writing the same songs with slightly different lyrics and samples - they've also let themselves down in my opinion by releasing that horrible album with Jay-Z on it - what in Hell's name were they thinking?
What do these 3 bands have in common??

I listened through all my CD's with GC this weekend. some songs are great. but most of them, I don't really know why I've ever liked. maybe because I didn't know better at that time :P

Hahahaha I'm prepared to try anything, but having tried GC I can't imagine why anyone would listen to them every day or even at all... I did used to find I Just Wanna Live hilarious but then it got overplayed on the radio, which rapidly sucked the fun out of that song

Holy Shit Sk8a H8a....you say Avril's music is good to listen to, or something along those lines, yet now you bash GC...Now honestly, turn avril into a boy and multiply her by 4 and you have GC...you are THE most self-contradicting person whose comments i have ever read....I really think your main objective on all these boards is not to give your opinion, but to point out how wrong you "know" everyone else is, regardless of what you actually think...Choose a side goddammit, or at least develope a consistent set of opinions, because right now, i think you may be the fakest out of all of us.

Excuse me? A consistent set of opinions? You think everyone who enjoys Avril shouldn't be allowed to criticise Good Charlotte? I find Avril to be amusing and an enjoyable form of easy listening, whereas Good Charlotte are just annoying... Avril actually has a reasonably nice voice (no matter what studio tricks have been done to make it so - that's not the point), whereas Joel and Benji are annoying and whiny
Your suggestion is ridiculous... how about we multiply you by 4 and turn you into a boy? There are 5 members of Good Charlotte anyway...
I have a very firm opinion, but I don't feel the need to choose a "side"... my opinion is actually based on my own thoughts about something rather than some pre-determined musical taste, implying that an Avril fan MUST be a GC fan - I am living proof that it's possible to like one and not the other!

and I haven't heard anything about a new album? I'm not even sure if I'm gonna buy it :O the last album I bought only because I felt that I had to. After all, they were my favorite band for over a year :/
