I remember the pie that inspired me to start my band. That wasn't hot at all. I really can't believe that Good Charlotte are that talented. Most talented bands don't bend to the force of MTV.

>>By Sk8er H8er   (Friday, 26 Sep 2003 23:24)

Man, I don't agree with that. RadioHead is very talented, and they are on MTV. And so is AFI, GreenDay, Interpol, Coldplay. Come on now.
These bands are talented. If they're not, than who is?

>>By Jonny   (Saturday, 27 Sep 2003 00:22)

I agree that GC sucks up to the camera too much and the fact that they are played on MTV all the time is annoting but being played on MTV has nothing...I repeat NOTHING to do with talent!

>>By nosupremists   (Saturday, 27 Sep 2003 00:45)

You lot are havin a laugh, or is GC? Raking in all your hard earnd cash !!!.Punk my Arse.Made up band from the record companys jumping on the band wagon."Yeah Punks in fashion lets overflow the market with this shit, the kids are gullible they will eat it up".It's aload of old tosh. Fucking teeny bopper bands,I hate em.........

>>By Hedgie   (Saturday, 27 Sep 2003 01:37)

Yeah, It's funny how everyone gets pissed about GC being popular. No one is a fan on this board. Just how popular are they? Mmmmmmmmmmm.

>>By Jonny   (Saturday, 27 Sep 2003 11:13)

Im a fan. Just agree with most of the stuff you say................

>>By Riot Girl   (Saturday, 27 Sep 2003 11:24)

Ever notice how they became popular as soon as advil losonge (avril lavigne) came into the music scene and also when the "punk rawk" poser clothing began being sold in teenybopper stores?

GC became popular as soon as punk became a trend. Does anyone find that ironic?

They were never popular before, why now? Because punk is the new "you have to be this to be cool" thing? I think so!

>>By Knoxville grl   (Sunday, 28 Sep 2003 18:31)

I think we have confermed that already?

Maybe we all should go to another topic...? would be fun talking about something else...

>>By Campking   (Sunday, 28 Sep 2003 19:21)

i think gd charlotte is a gd band reality flashes need 2 cum 2 da rest!

>>By manson_is_sexy   (Monday, 29 Sep 2003 03:41)

I'm a sellout too.

But I like it.

>>By Jonny   (Monday, 29 Sep 2003 08:07)

campking, Makin fun of my nickname? I'm sure "Campking" Took a huge amount of imagination to come up with. By the way what's wrong with americans?
All i wanted to say is i think i can place a lone statement in any discussion i want because, hey, It's a freedom of speech thing. And if u have a problem with that, well, i dont really care i just wanna piss u off because i will never meet or talk to u in person. Ha ha ha.
Jesus, for a moment there i forgot i was in a Good Charlotte discussion............................Good Charlotte are a mediocre band who i've never really took notice of! Sorry to all good Charlotte Fans i dont really mean to offend but i'm a bitch that way.

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Monday, 29 Sep 2003 08:50)

Therre is nothing wrong with Americans, besides the lack the sence of Irony, cynism, and every kind of deeper humor... next to that they live in a country that is trying to get the whole world on their feet, by fear and intimidation, and it's population either ignorce it or sems to be oke with that.. well I am not.. and I feel guilty and sick just for the fact that my government likes to be the labdog of US government.....
O, yeah before I forget: loads of Americans are totally unaware of what happens in the world outside the USA boarders: those who are aware mostly understand why alot of Europeans don't like Americans.......

Though there are some good things: You have Baseball...

anyway now we have got a discussion... Don't remember making fun of your nickname btw, only remember that I typed (by accident) too short, only saw that when I had already posted.. if that pisses you of, my apologe..

Only found out what the term campking means long after I had it, seems to have some double meaning in computer games or something, still haven't found out... I got the nickname (didn't make it up) because I was the singer of a band called Camp.... and thus: Campking.. have been using it ever since..

My self made up nickname is Castor Amarasu.. and you can come back on me later, when you have figured out the meaning of that..........

still don't like Good Charlotte.....

>>By Campking   (Monday, 29 Sep 2003 14:06)

i really h8 preps! theyr so0oo0o stupid!

>>By Marks_future_wifey   (Tuesday, 30 Sep 2003 21:34)

>>By Campking   (Tuesday, 30 Sep 2003 21:36)

don't ever compare me 2 that poser!
GC is gr8! peace!

>>By Marks_future_wifey   (Tuesday, 30 Sep 2003 22:51)

It seems most of the people on here are haters of good charlotte, so why bother to discuss how much you dislike them and convince other people when you all dislike them?well whatever, good charlotte are who they are and i don't really care to fuss over something so unimportant as good charlotte and weather or not they are a good band.People have a right to their opinions and i am not about to start dissing those opinions.

KingCamp, what is so bad Americans, not all of us are as you discribe.I do know what is going on outside of the states and i do not always agree with what our goverment does, but what can i do? You and other Europeans ,don't seem to relize that we are all not as bad as you describe.

>>By hopeless   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 01:30)

I'm sure camping was referring to not to all americans, just quite a few.

And in my experience, the statement about not knowing what goes on outside the u.s. is sort of true. for the most part anyway.

>>By Luna   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 01:48)

Yes Campking, a lot of Americans are nieve to what is happening inside and out of our country... however I dislike your stereo types and it seems that the vast majority of us do in fact know what is going on and a ton of us actually make a stand...or at least try. I very much dislike our government and the doings of this nation world wide. I think that punks rise in popularity is helping to inform our youth about what's going on. In this way many of the upcoming Americans are not anywhere close to as you discribe and it angers me that you would make such a general statement which actually only discribes a minority of the targets of your statement. it is not right to judge us based on those of us that you see on TV who have to act patriotic and shit because it has become non-PC and therefore non-marketable for the entertainment broadcast (in most cases) to depict the truth. This is because people (generally patriotic extremists) tend to get angry with anti-american beliefs because they are scared that their fragile little shell which protects their brainwashed beliefs will be broken. Ditrectly affected by this is our news and family broadcasts because this is what the majority of these "exctremists" watch I am assuming that most of the media that gets out of this country and is therefore accessible by you is of this type... Have you heard all of the punk-rock music being produced in this country or are you even aware of the scene? Looking at that would be a contradiction to your statement. I'm not trying to be a stupid American who stands up for his country because I am not at all patriotic and am in no way nieve to the schemes/plots of our corrupt government and neither are the vast majority of the people who I know, adult or child...
Well there's my counterstatement I hope you've enjoyed peace!

>>By nosupremists   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 02:14)

also I don't presume that you pay much attention to the humour in this country but it isn't as you describe it... of course it doesn't compare to british humour, at least not the media humour but in the heart of the population there are a ton of really fucking funny people I am one of them on occasion but I don't feel the need to express my humour on an online chat board... it lacks the sense of "realness" that is needed to bring out my humour in most cases

>>By nosupremists   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 02:17)

Good Charlotte is a horrible band, probably a group of kids that were picked out of a K-Mart, given some instruments, told how to act "cool", and sent them out on MTV. I'll keep listening to Metallica instead of this pop sh*t.

>>By FutbolFreak   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 03:36)

Metallica sold out mannnnnnnn!!!!!!!

They're all popy now!!!!!

ha ha ha ha ha ha.

>>By Jonny   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 08:00)

nonsupremist, I agree with you. Look at all the rebellion in this country. We are not what is portrayed on T.V. I hate television, at least the news. All it's for is to scare people while making a prophet off of tragedy, and celebrity's lives.

Americans are just people, like every other country.

>>By Jonny   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 08:03)

i agree aswell

GC try way to hard

>>By manson_is_sexy   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 13:46)

americans kick ass!

>>By Jack_is_hot_12   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 15:22)

If the world a playground. . . . .

usa: give me your lunch money, germany, or i'll kick your ass.

uk: give the money back, chubby, you need to cut down.

usa: huh? my dad is rich an. .and he'll sue your ass!

uk: my 'ass' is not afraid.

uk: this is the last time i'm helping you beat up that iraqi lad.

>>By Luna   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 15:35)

I'm so curious as to why Campking, you come on here all the time to discuss Americans! This is a Good Charlotte discussion! Didn't think it was that profound!
I think you have the impression that i'm American, I'm not i'm from Ireland and i just dont think you should Tar all Americans with the same brush. Remember you're from England! If i wanted a could go on a very long Rant on how England opressed many countries ,including Ireland, for centuries but u know what? I just don't care that much!
The one thing i have to agree with is that u don't like Good Charlotte, buy hey, i think we're past that now!
And finally, Castor Amaraus? Yeah you've probably guessed it i have no idea what it means, Do u feel all intelligent now? If so, Good for u.

>>By Too Smart for a nickname   (Wednesday, 1 Oct 2003 15:53)

Metallica has sold out, but their music form twenty years ago stills rules.

Okay, now we're getting off-topic...

>>By FutbolFreak   (Thursday, 2 Oct 2003 03:49)
