Pretty extreme & anarchic band. One of them was a commited nudist apparently.
They didn't do things by halves.

They were an original "krautrock" German band of the early '70s but I believe they're still going strong in some incarnation.
They took their name from the German word for "fist".

Well, I first thought it was an allusion to the literary Faust as well. The cover of their first album features an X-ray photo of a human fist. I think they chose the motif to tie in with the spirit of their anarchy.

...... or perhaps the force of their musical anarchy, I should say!
Their range of anarchy ran to incorporating industrial & power tools sonically into the mix. That was pretty innovative for the early '70s.
I think they once performed a concert that included the breaking up of a car on stage, so you might say they were into performance-art too!
