| Discussion: Eric Burdon And The Animals I've been listening to Eric since '64. Tonight I have the best of , Animals Tracks, Heavy Hits(because I can't Animalism or Animalization anywhere), Before We We're Rudely Interupted and Love Is on.. I have 18 CD's and don't believe that is enough of The Animals, actually Eric Burdon. I would get more if I knew where. The thing that attracted me to his voice and lyrics was that he praises others rather than sing about himself, once in awhile he sings about himself, but it is not egotistic. Long live King Eric and the blues. Named my first son after Eric and when he grew up, I had him listen to Eric Burdon, he realized why I was. Lastly, no matter what is said or what may happen, Eric Burdon is the one singer I will always respect and keep dear to my heart. Thanks Eric for all the great music. His lyrics are just plain fabulous and he is good looking too! >>By Lydia dont be surprised, iam an Iranian now leaving in Vancouver, I was the head of Eric Burdon and the Animals fan in the high school since 1965, used fight with the Rolling Stones fans!. because of love os the Animals I started to learn guitar in order to play " The house of the rising sun" ! still when I pick the guitar I start with the same song. i almost bought their all singles,LPs and have preserved them. in 1968 i got a very good iranian singer ( EBI, he is now top persian pop singer) a drumer, bassist, and a Keyboard, Exactly similar Band like the Animals and started to practice their songs which were really difficult for us and the singer at that time, but the joy we used to get of playing the Animals music could not be descibed in any way. I remember mr. Hilton Valentine( the guitarist), mr. Alan price( the Organist who arranged the music FOR THE HOUSE OF RISING SUN), later replace by Dave, Chas Chandler( the Bassist, which recently i heard sad news that he passed away) and mr. Steel( the drumer). and the GREATEST SINGER OF OUR TIME and FOREVER MR. ERIC BURDON.
