It's not the best shit. People worship it and it's just a mediocre fad. People just assume it... but that's because they're judgemental. They hear one Emo band and they assume it's like every other one. And even if Emo did complain... it's not like it's the only type of music that does... every goddamned band complains about something. Anti-Flag for example- they say that Emo sucks cause they whine... well, all they do is whine about the government and whine about emo people whining... it's all a bunch of crap. And with Emo bands, they're just being true to themselves and their fans. Like, my friends that don't like emo back themselves up with comments like "anyone can bitch and cry about stuff all the time" (usually they're referring to DC), but the fact of the matter is that these people (who do b* and whine) are telling us about problems that we've had, too. They remind us that we all go through the same crap, and quite frankly listening to music that we can relate to makes us feel like we know a little more about the artist... like we've shared something with them.
