Sk8aH8a, I gave up on trying to keep this post on track, it's really impossible.

Emos flock to Ville, he's a cult icon, you can expect them. I've come to terms with being whatever and when people ask me if I'm emo, I say yes, if they ask me if I'm punk, I say yes, if they ask me I'm anything, I just say yes from now on. It gets on my nerves to be labeled more and more these days. Maybe because I can't figure me out, let alone anyone else could. How emo did that sound?

Speaking of, is Death Cab for Cutie considered emo? Because I'm listening to them right now.

>>By Wednesday   (Friday, 7 Jul 2006 01:51)

ive never heard of death cab for cutie but they sound emo so maybe who knows.

>>By spookygoth   (Friday, 7 Jul 2006 11:02)

Nooo, they're not emo... Death Cab for Cutie, that is...

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 7 Jul 2006 14:33)

No-one understands me

>>By Obfuscated   (Tuesday, 25 Jul 2006 11:21)

Obfuscated, It's definitely the case that even though I am allegedly short of brain cells I could not fail to disagree with you less....

>>By planet ear   (Friday, 28 Jul 2006 04:12)

Mantra addendum: "....Maybe there are no Emos really either"

>>By planet ear   (Friday, 28 Jul 2006 04:29)

give it up

>>By scarletnikki   (Friday, 28 Jul 2006 13:59)

Some emo music is good....Some is jsut plain sad.

>>By I-luv-you   (Friday, 28 Jul 2006 19:29)

Maybe there is no planet ear (:

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Saturday, 29 Jul 2006 15:01)

Hehehe ... Well in a sense maybe there isn't.... but there is an author who writes all my words and I reflect his opinions and thoughts as precisely as I feel inclined.

I guess I'm about as real as Sk8a H8a ;)

>>By planet ear   (Sunday, 30 Jul 2006 01:46)

This was a perfectly interesting topic before planet ear turned it into a complete bigland

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 17 Aug 2006 18:29)

You mean you guys (UK Emo knocking group) actually enjoy knocking "Emos" as a kind of peer-bonding thing Sk8er? How sad......

>>By planet ear   (Thursday, 17 Aug 2006 19:43)

Is this what is emo and what is not emo and what is actually emo discussion still going on? When will it pierce in to all of your heads: "there is just good music, bad music and music that doesn't matter (vengaboys, Christine aquablabla, Britney sprietst)." The rest is just created to make it easer for you to order your cd-rack... But if you decide Death Cab for Cutie is EMo and Boysetsfire is not, you put the cd's where ever you want....

That's my totally unasked for piece of cake.

>>By Joris Spikkelaar   (Saturday, 19 Aug 2006 17:34)

"Is this what is emo and what is not emo and what is actually emo discussion still going on?"

No it isn't... this is now the "why is planet ear so annoying?" discussion

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Sunday, 20 Aug 2006 00:03)

Probably it's you transferring your immature frustration at being consistently unable to present a coherent valid argument in support of your views onto another person Sk8er... likely a similar reason would explain why you're annoyed by Emos.

>>By planet ear   (Monday, 21 Aug 2006 00:16)

Not at all... are you this rude and patronising in real life?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Thursday, 24 Aug 2006 09:41)

he probably isn no because in real life he would most likely get twated for being that way. and quite rightly so... unfortunately there isnt a slap planet ear button on here but i might request one. Hes right you know... this discussion was actually going really well, like a proper debate before you turned up and now its not even about emo... are you a natural attention seeker? because you whole aim seems to have been to get the discussion to revolve around you which is really childish. If this was a primary school class youd be that annoying child that throws crayons just so someone will pay him some attention.

I was hoping to have come back and the discussion to have got back on the rails.

scarlet does this planet ear remind you of someone we know? lol We must be a bad species to deserve more than one of that kind of person.

Anyway Dearth cab for cutie... erm, im not sure if they would be classed as emo, i certainly dont like them they seem to miss something, but i wouldnt say emo.

>>By spookygoth   (Thursday, 24 Aug 2006 17:01)

Christ... you know someone as bad as planet ear? *signs their death warrant* I would like to see planet ear try to put his points of view across to a couple of chavs and persuade them to change their ways with special mantras

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 25 Aug 2006 11:02)

Haha id like to test the theory... i bet £10 that he doesnt even last 10 minutes before they come out with "eaaayyya wat ya fuckin chattin u knobed... we'll fuckin spark u out yo!" and slash his face for it.

yeah we do know someone just like that and what a twat he is too. Im struggling to decide who is the more immature of the two though, its most definately a close one.

>>By spookygoth   (Friday, 25 Aug 2006 14:27)

hahahahahahaha for that matter, what if he tried explaining his ideas to emos?

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Friday, 25 Aug 2006 17:01)

There, there...Do you feel better now you've reinforced your shared prejudices?

>>By planet ear   (Saturday, 26 Aug 2006 00:41)

Hmms... emos hmm they would either try and kill themselves to get away from him, attack him with a razorblade, or just stand and argue it out for the sheer amusement and pettyness of it. Either way even emos wouldnt tolerate it,even if they agreed with some the ramblings, theyd still take offense to the attitude.

>>By spookygoth   (Saturday, 26 Aug 2006 18:49)

You don't think Emos might be somewhat more offended by Sk8er calling them "stupid little idiots" or you implying they're thiefs then? On a board to discuss "Emo" for goodness sake! Regardless of that I actually don't really mind what your opinion of me is Spooky... I just find your bare-faced hypocracy vaguely amusing....

>>By planet ear   (Saturday, 26 Aug 2006 18:58)

Isn't emo just short for emotional?

Which you all are getting a bit too much......................

>>By Campking   (Sunday, 27 Aug 2006 00:53)

Hehehe ... Well some people here could usefully spare a few moments on another mantra "I should look up the word "ironic" immediately after reciting my mantra" ;)

>>By planet ear   (Sunday, 27 Aug 2006 01:07)

hehehehehehehehe. ive been away for a while, and cant believe what ive come back to !! perhaps the jist of this conversation is :- planet ear, have you actually seen in real life ,an emo ? it seems to me that if anyone has a gripe on here to do with emo's, its because they come into contact with them everyday. I also have to say that sk8a h8a is perfectly able to present a verty coherent and intelligent point,it just doesn't agree with your own, which is what debate is all about.

>>By scarletnikki   (Monday, 28 Aug 2006 12:14)

yeah emo apparently means emotional, in terms of music at any rate, but having listened to alot of emo its more emotional taking my dog for a walk or feeding the cats than some of the junk they sing about.

And oh dear planet ear. Im a hypocrit? how do you figure? I never disputed that they might have taken offence to sk8ers comments or mine for that matter, that wasnt the discussion though was it? sk8er wondered what would happen if an emo encountered YOUR opinions and attitude, no one elses just yours, so in that respect there was nothing hypocritical about what i said. I imagine an emo might not like what we have said, and i certianly have not backed down on my view of them since im still seeing emos daily and wondering what went wrong. I have never once said that all emos are that way either and neither has sk8er, infact even some emos might agree that alot of other emos are giving the whole emo thing a bad name.

Ha but nothing has changed lets go back to the old debate, you still havent told us about what you think on the emo front have you? no! and why? i dont think you know what the discussion is about do your dear? As scarlet pointed out we say what we say because we encountered that type of thing from emos face to face, but you hmmm you either have never seen an emo or your a bigger moron than most people thought.
I recall joining an EMO discussion not a planet ear one but you seem to have made it your main principle to be the centre of this one. You do realise, however, that you make yourself look like a complete prat by joining a discussion and not saying anything about it.

O well thats your problem dear and you can point the finger at anyone else for being a hypocrit or anything else, but at least we are intelligent enough to talk about the dicussion topic.

>>By spookygoth   (Monday, 28 Aug 2006 17:22)

oh and planet ear. Read back, you'll find that i also said emos were thieves. Because thats all they seem to do in Manchester city centre if they arnt vandalising the place, tormenting random people and old ladies or trying to drown eachother in the fountian. Its been said before, we have said these things based on your experiences, from what you have said we could most certainly assume that you have never left the house because not one thing you have said has been experienced based dear. Go outside watch the emos as if they where some study project and see for yourself (thats if you know what an emo is because i want to believe your not that stupid but youve not given any reason to prove otherwise) and then come back to the EMO discussion and tell the the class what you saw.. If you do we might even give you a smiley face sticker and tell your mummy what a good little boy you have been. *pats on the head* theres a good lad now run along you have homework to be doing.

>>By spookygoth   (Monday, 28 Aug 2006 17:33)

planet ear: if you're going to keep posting on this board, try being a bit more polite to the other people using it, instead of slandering everyone who holds an opinion on something you know nothing about, simply because you think life should revolve around mantras and you wish to enforce your opinion upon everyone else... you clearly know nothing about emo, so either find out for yourself through real life experience - actually seeing what these people are like - or accept that we are right because we know what we're talking about whereas you don't have a clue

Campking: Nope, emotive apparently... I don't think I'm getting emotional - just defensive of this topic since I was enjoying it before planet ear ruined it

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Monday, 28 Aug 2006 20:05)

I don't believe I have slandered you or anyone else on this board Sk8er. I would then be grateful if you would either

i) withdraw that comment making some form of apology for having, perhaps rather rashly, made it in your post above (which I am presently minded to accept)

ii) indicate precisely which post you believe contains the offending statement

Regards to all
