Hi Star - re: Gareth Gates - aren't most people a billion times better than him (poor lad, I'm sure he means well). Funnily enough, I did a music quiz recently for the social club at work and included The Doctor's version of "Spirit" and someone actually argued that Gates's version was the original!!!
While I'm on, can I just say how much I love "Instant Heaven". What a fantastic album. I know it's a good few years since it came out but I still love it. If anyone reading this hasn't bought this album than I recommend you do - I'm pretty sure you can get it on the Doctor and the Medics website - there's not a duff track on it, absolutely brilliant.
Sorry about that - must go for a lie down now.

Blimey, that's spooky. Look, there's "Instant Heaven" advertised on the left. Do you think that means someone from Amazon has had time to read this?? I thought they were all busy packing up Harry Potter books.

Hi, great music, always wished DaTM had had more hits. Mind you I've got a personel interest as I knew Collette many years ago, Got many fond memories of jumping tubes, traines and doing anything else we felt like doing in and around London. I was older than her but she taught me street life, :-) Hope she's still with the band and doing well. Good luck to all of you. Lets have a new hit soon. Why not try to get a dance mix of spirit in the sky going. Recon it would go down a storm. Or is that sacriledge?

Sunday 13th July 2003. Saw 'em last nite at Catton Park, Staffs. Absolutley magic show, electric atmosphere, massive good natured crowd, wonderful English summers evening. Support bands included The Animals and the Blues Band featuring Paul Jones. What is he on? Doesnt look any different now than he did in the sixties! Dr & the gang all worked so hard and obviously enjoyed themselves tremendously as did the audience
